It’s been more than a year since the release of Duvvada Jagannadham and still the crazy director Harish Shankar has not started his next. Industry circles have got their own reasons for this director’s snail pace. After the release of Duvvada Jagannadham, there existed a huge controversy regarding the final collections of this movie. Makers declared that the movie grossed more than 100 crores in just one week which is quite hard to believe. But internally, Raju knew the actual facts and asked Harish to change his making style or else he would end up with flops.
Since then, Raju kept on rejecting Shankar’s storylines and finally okayed a script Daagudu Moothalu. Touted to be a multi-starrer with two young heroes, it was heavily speculated that two mega heroes would play the lead roles.Later they got replaced by another mid-range young hero like Nithin, Raj Tarun etc. As the pre-production got progressing, Raju asked Harish to call off the project as he is not confident on the script. Stubborn Harish decided to walk out of Dil Raju’s camp trusting his Dagudu Moothalu script to find another producer.
Now Harish desperately needs a producer to bankroll this medium budget flick which has US backdrop.Sources close to Raju’s camp reveal that Harish tried to hold talks with Raju’s brother Sirish to have a final hearing about his script. However, Sirish who is busy with the production duties of Nithin’s Srinivasa Kalyanam said sorry for this long-term associated director. One has to wait and see if any producer gets interested in Dagudu Moothalu script to bankroll it.
