Arjun Reddy created a sensation in Telugu film industry. The film attained cult status upon its release. Arjun Reddy became controversial, be it for its raw content, the smooches, and the hard-hitting language. Similarly, the film became the hot topic in political circles, after V Hanumanth Rao objected to the film’s poster.
During the film’s promotion, posters of lip lock scenes between Vijay Devarakonda and Shalini Pandey featured on the buses. Many political leaders, prominently V Hanumanth Rao, and social activists protested against the lip-lock posters. These controversies only took the film forward.
Meanwhile, makers of Howrah Bridge are also getting ready to indulge in deep-neck controversies. As a part of the promotions, the film’s posters are sending shockwaves in the state. The lead pair, Rahul Ravindran and Chandini Chowdary, are seen in hot postures, exchanging intense moments in the posters.
Many Vijayawada locals have been criticizing RTC for allowing such posters on the buses. RTC is putting human values at stake at the expense of extra revenue, said a local from the city.
Meanwhile, the women organizations came on to the roads, criticizing the makers, for showing projecting women in a demeaning and chastening way. Nevertheless, the film’s director Revon Yaadhu is happy with the film’s promotion.
