War 2 Struggles at Box Office Despite Hrithik Roshan & Jr. NTR’s Star Power
War 2, the latest Bollywood spy thriller directed by Ayan Mukerji, brings together Hrithik Roshan and Jr. NTR in a high-octane action drama. Despite massive buzz and expectations, the film’s box office performance has been underwhelming so far.
Released last Thursday, the film has completed its first extended weekend (4 days). However, mixed reviews and divided word of mouth have affected occupancy and collections.
By the end of Day 4, War 2 managed to earn an estimated ₹123 crore nett (Hindi) at the domestic box office, including around ₹25 crore on Day 4 (Sunday).
Given the film’s big budget and star-studded cast, the numbers are considered disappointing, sparking concern over its long-term run.
The movie also features Kiara Advani in a pivotal role, while Ashutosh Rana makes a cameo appearance. Music has been composed by Pritam and the team. Backed by Yash Raj Films, War 2 was expected to set new records but is currently struggling to keep up with its hype.
