Coolie Maintains Slim Lead Over War 2 at the Box Office
Two of India’s biggest films, Rajinikanth’s Coolie and Hrithik Roshan Jr. NTR’s War 2, hit the screens last Thursday with sky-high expectations. However, the much-anticipated clash has not entirely lived up to the hype, as both films are struggling to deliver collections matching their massive budgets and star power.
In the first three days worldwide, Coolie managed a strong gross of ₹315 crore, while War 2 collected around ₹210 crore. Trade circles expect Sunday’s numbers (Day 4) to be stronger, but the real test begins Monday, when weekday collections will determine the true box office stamina of both films.
As per early reports, Coolie is holding a slight edge in ticket sales and revenue. The big question remains whether War 2 can bounce back in the coming week or if Coolie will continue to dominate.
Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, Coolie stars Superstar Rajinikanth, while Ayan Mukerji’s War 2 features Hrithik Roshan and Jr. NTR. The clash between these cinematic heavyweights is still wide open, and the coming days will decide which film emerges victorious.
