Nandamuri Balakrishna entered into politics in the year 2014, following the footsteps of his late father NT Rama Rao. He always chose to contest from Hindupur Constituency where TDP won every election since its beginning. As expected, the actor-turned-politician won with a margin of around 16000 votes.
Now, the scenario looks different, for 2019 Polls, Balayya is likely to face a tough candidate from the opposition by name Naveen Nischal. This man is from YCP, a leader who has gathered all the needed attention by everyone with his intense and aggressive speeches and approach. He was the one who launched ‘Janatha Canteens’ Exhibited after ‘Amma Canteens’ in Hindupur to provide food to the weaker and deprived sections of societies for subsidized rates.
Speaking in an interview, he said, “If I was given Hindupur YCP Ticket in the next coming elections, I will surely defeat Balakrishna in the TDP bastion. Ready to shave off, half of my head if I fail to do so”.
Further surprising everyone, he made another statement, that what happened in 2014 Polls isn’t a real or true victory to Balakrishna at all. He dared to question, ‘why did Balayya contest in elections when he can’t do justice for the people who voted and elected him?
