IRCTC has made an important announcement to all its consumers, agents, and other agencies that book Indian train tickets on online. In a press release, IRCTC has confirmed that irctc.co.in will remain closed from Thursday night 10:45 pm to Friday morning 5:00 am. Which means, the users will not be able to do any kind of booking, cancellation, or any other transaction on the irctc.co.in website.

‘In an attempt to make the website more user-friendly and attract, and user experience easier, we are upgrading the IRCTC website. Which means, all the online services like ticket booking, ticket cancellation, filing TDR, and other transactions will remain closed during the 6-hour closed period. Even IRCTC rail apps services will also remain blocked.

Even the 24×7 call center services, 139 Enquiry services, and IVRS Touch Screen services in all the railway stations will also remain closed. So we request our consumers to kindly take a note of this, and we regret the inconvenience caused’, read the press note from IRCTC.Every day, more than 18 tickets are booked on the IRCTC website.
