The most speculated issue of AP Politics, the resignation of all YSRCP MLAs by the end of Jagan’s tour is now heading in different direction. Well-wishers and Political analysts advised Jagan to change his mind.Initially, Jagan with his batch planned to make all his MLAs to submit their resignations in order to win the voters’ trust. With confidence to win again in the by-polls if at all their resignations are accepted, Jagan thought of implementing this plan as resignations would fetch sympathy.
When the plan is about to get executed, senior most analysts of the party asked Jagan to stop this strategy. They backed their piece of advice explaining all the negatives of this plan. According to them, making MLAs resign will not work as the general elections are approaching within one year. That means, if the Speaker accepts the resignations, the by-elections shall not happen. In that case, Speaker will accept resignations and put entire YSRCP outside the Assembly. Here, TDP can make an advantage out of these resignations as the existing 23 MLAs from YSRCP to TDP would get merged.
Also, the utter flop show of YSRCP MPs resignations from the Rajya Sabha created an impact on Jagan’s mind. Despite getting the media coverage, this act failed to get registered in the minds of AP people. All these made Jagan drop this plan and start working on a new strategy to counter CBN. For now, we can declare that there will be no resignations Hungama anywhere in both TDP and YSRCP.
