Hrithik Roshan’s reported cameo in Superstar Rajinikanth’s Jailer 2 has become a talking point, with conflicting reports emerging about the Bollywood star’s remuneration. While earlier reports claimed that Hrithik charged a whopping Rs. 25 crore for his special appearance as Roddy, fresh industry buzz suggests that he may not have taken any payment for the role.
According to the latest claims, Hrithik agreed to appear in the film without remuneration as a gesture of respect and admiration for Rajinikanth. However, these claims remain unverified, and neither the actors nor the production house has officially clarified the matter.
The earlier Rs. 25 crore figure reportedly created considerable buzz, given the limited screen time associated with a cameo appearance. Some reports suggest that the amount may have been linked to Hrithik’s usual remuneration rather than a confirmed fee for Jailer 2.
There is also speculation that Sun Pictures was reluctant to pay such a substantial amount for the cameo and that Rajinikanth may have played a role in resolving the situation. However, these details have not been officially confirmed and should be treated as industry rumours.
Meanwhile, Jailer 2 continues its reported strong box-office run, with claims suggesting that the film is approaching the Rs. 600 crore mark worldwide.
For now, the truth behind Hrithik Roshan’s cameo fee remains unclear. Until the actors or the makers provide an official clarification, both the Rs. 25 crore payment claim and the reports of a free appearance remain speculative.
