Superstar Rajinikanth’s Jailer 2 continues to attract attention at the box office, while an interesting behind-the-scenes revelation has now become a talking point among fans. Actress Mirnaa Menon has shared details about an intense scene featuring Rajinikanth and S.J. Suryah that reportedly left the film’s team concerned.
In an emotionally charged sequence in the second half, S.J. Suryah forcefully presses Rajinikanth’s face against the ground. According to Mirnaa, the scene was performed by Rajinikanth himself rather than a body double, surprising those who assumed otherwise.
Mirnaa revealed that the team was worried about the superstar performing such a demanding sequence. However, Rajinikanth reportedly remained calm and comfortable throughout the process. She also disclosed that he took around 12 takes to get the shot right.
Despite the concerns of the people around him, Rajinikanth approached the scene with remarkable composure and even asked the team whether the final shot had turned out well. Mirnaa expressed surprise at how casually the veteran actor handled the situation, given the physical demands of the sequence.
Meanwhile, Jailer 2 is reportedly closing in on the Rs. 500 crore mark at the global box office, with its latest collections expected to determine whether it reaches the milestone. The Dussehra holiday period could provide an additional boost to its theatrical run.
The film’s performance in the Telugu-speaking states, however, has reportedly been more moderate despite the positive buzz. It remains to be seen whether the festive season will help the Rajinikanth-starrer register stronger collections in the region.
