The Lawrence Bishnoi gang has reportedly claimed responsibility for the firing incident involving Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff in Mumbai on Sunday evening. In a social media post, individuals claiming to represent the gang alleged that the attack was linked to the actor ignoring warnings against working with Salman Khan. The post also reportedly issued threats to others in the film industry who collaborate with Khan. Police are investigating the claim as part of their ongoing probe.
According to reports, the incident occurred near Pushpa Park in Juhu while Tiger Shroff was returning from a football match. Three unidentified men travelling on a motorcycle allegedly opened fire at his car. The actor escaped without injuries, but his driver, Firdaus, sustained a gunshot wound to his left hand. An autorickshaw driver in the vicinity was also reportedly injured.
Tiger Shroff and his driver were taken to a hospital for treatment. The actor was subsequently discharged, while his driver received medical attention. The other injured individual was taken to a separate hospital.
Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has directed the police to investigate the incident. Mumbai Police have reportedly formed 15 teams to trace the suspects and establish the circumstances surrounding the attack.
Investigators have detained one suspect for questioning and are examining CCTV footage from the surrounding areas to identify those involved. Police are also verifying the authenticity and source of the social media post claiming responsibility.
The investigation is ongoing, and further details are expected as authorities continue their efforts to identify the attackers and determine the motive behind the incident.
