Jason Holder rested from first two Ireland ODIs

Date:

Jason Holder, the West Indian all-rounder, has been rested from the first two games of the three-match One-Day International series against Ireland. He is the only player to miss out from an otherwise retained squad that faced India in their 2-1 series defeat last month.

“The decision was taken to rest Jason due to the heavy workload he has had over the last year,” said Roger Harper, West Indies’ selector on Thursday (January 2).

The ODI series that begins on January 7 in Barbados, will be followed by three T20Is.

Squad: K Pollard (c), S Ambris, R Chase, S Cottrell, S Hetmyer, S Hope, A Joseph, B King, E Lewis, K Paul, K Pierre, N Pooran, R Shepherd, H Walsh jr.
