Actress Kajal Aggarwal’s The India Story has finally made its way to OTT in Telugu and Tamil. The film is now available in both languages on JioHotstar, giving audiences who missed its theatrical release an opportunity to watch it online.
Initially, the makers planned a multilingual theatrical release for the movie. However, only the Hindi version reached cinemas, while the Telugu and Tamil versions did not receive a theatrical outing. The film also failed to make a significant impact at the box office during its Hindi release.
Following its theatrical run, the Hindi version arrived on JioHotstar. Now, the platform has added the Telugu and Tamil versions as well, expanding the film’s reach among audiences across different language markets.
With the latest OTT update, the makers are hoping the film will find a wider audience through digital streaming. It remains to be seen whether the Telugu and Tamil versions will receive a better response from viewers who were unable to watch the movie in theatres.
Directed by Chettan DK, The India Story features Kajal Aggarwal and Shreyas Talpade in the lead roles. The supporting cast includes Manish Wadhwa, Murli Sharma, Atul Tiwari, Kamlesh Sawant, and several others.
The film is produced by Sagar B. Shinde, while Mangesh Dhakde has composed the soundtrack.
With all three language versions now available on the streaming platform, The India Story gets another opportunity to reach audiences beyond its original theatrical market.
