Fans of Prabhas and Deepika Padukone will have to wait a bit longer to catch their sci-fi flick “Kalki 2898 AD” on the big screen. The movie’s original May 9th release date has been scrapped due to scheduling conflicts with India’s 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
The makers haven’t announced a new “Kalki 2898 AD Release Date” yet, but they’re expected to do so soon. This futuristic film, directed by Nag Ashwin, boasts a star-studded cast including Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan alongside the lead duo.
In a recent event, Ashwin discussed the film’s unique concept. “India doesn’t have many sci-fi movies,” he said. “‘Kalki’ takes place in a whole new world, not just time travel. It’s fresh on the global scale too, showcasing a future India, not just the usual London or New York settings.” He also revealed that advancements in AI technology like text-to-image generation actually helped streamline the film’s production process.
“Kalki 2898 AD” isn’t the only movie facing release date uncertainty due to the elections. Stay tuned for updates on the official “Kalki 2898 AD Release Date”!
