Telangana CM KCR has stated that he informed Prime Minister Modi that the extension of lock down is necessary. KCR, who briefed the media, said the situation is critical and the lock down is the only way to control the spread of the novel Corona Virus. He said there is no other option as of now as there is no vaccine, medicine to treat the Covid-19. Stressing the importance of life and health, KCR has asked the people to cooperate to the government during the lock down and asked everyone to abide my government’s rules.
KCR thanked the entire medical staff for their selfless service to the people in these times. He said people and his government are indebted to the doctors, nurses, hospital staff, medical workers. Equating them with God, he said these people are life saviours.
Citing the report of Boston Consulting Group (BCG), CM KCR said the report has suggested to extend the lock down till June 3. He said if lock down is not extended, the number of Corona cases may increase in Telangana. He also said that the CMs of other states are also in touch with the Prime Minister.
It can be noted that Prime Minister Modi has called and spoken to leaders of various political parties and CMs of states. He sought the opinion of the leaders on the ongoing pandemic situation. PM Modi has spoken to the likes of Sonia Gandhi, Manmohan Singh, Deve Gowda, Mulayam Singh, Akhilesh Yadav, Mamta Banerjee, KCR, YS Jagan, Naveen Patnaik, Stalin, Prakash Singh Badal.
