The actress happens to be an avid social media user and also does enjoy millions of followers on social media. During the promotions of her previous films, the actress has rather been vocal about everything be it nepotism, her body transformation or even a crush.

Recently in an interview, the ‘Kedarnath’ actress did open up about her body transformation and how she did and does manage to stay fit. She claimed that it all began in New York and at that time she weighed 96kg. She talked about her transition from pizza to salad and from lethargy to cardio. The actress worked hard to shed off those extra pounds.

She said that she had to also deal with PCOD due to which losing weight was not an easy task.

Sara Ali Khan made much effort in the form of yoga, Kathak sessions as well as intense workout. She did join boot camp training for the same. Her weight loss program consisted of such exercises.

Lawn tennis, Pilates were other activities that she did indulge in. Not to forget, she moved on from junk food to salads and protein bars which helped her transform her shape into a nice shapely figure.

At university she mostly opted for junk food which included. Once she decided that she had to get rid of that excessive body fat she opted for healthier options and snacked on protein bars and salads and stayed off junk food.

She said she liked to eat healthy foods and she preferred chicken and eggs. She has been following a three meal diet. Sara also said that she did not really go in for the Keto diet as it did not work for her. She was very conscious about her weight loss program.

In New York she went in for functional training to boxing to cycling and started doing cardio-heavy workouts such as walking, cycling and hitting the treadmill. She believed in staying fit and preferred Pilates, boxing and cardio. She does change her routine at times but usually she makes sure that she works out for an hour and a half every single day—except on Sunday as this day is for relaxation.

She indulged herself in physical activities such as swimming and aerobics and she also played tennis which happens to be her favorite sport. She often played with her brother or father.

As far as diet is concerned she did make required changes and switched to green vegetables.

Earlier as mentioned before her lifestyle was filled with a lot of junk foods with no physical activity and a hormonal imbalance issue which made her weight about 96 kgs

Her dinner is simple and usually consists of green vegetables and chapatis. Sara Ali Khan does feed her body well. So, prior to every vigorous workout, she eats one bowl of muesli along with some fruits and oats. After the workout, she likes to have tofu, salads, legumes, and a protein shake.
