KTR demands Bandi Sanjay be punished for criticizing KCR
K.T. Rama Rao(KTR), the working president of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) and a minister in Telangana, addressed Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla on Friday, inquiring about the measures he intended to take against BJP MP Bandi Sanjay for his use of offensive language in the Lok Sabha against Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao.
Rama Rao strongly objected to specific comments made by Bandi Sanjay during his speech in the Lok Sabha on Thursday, which was related to a no-confidence motion presented by opposition parties.
In a tweet, KTR referred to the disqualification of Congress MP Rahul Gandhi and contrasted it with the derogatory language used by the BJP MP from Telangana against the popularly elected Chief Minister KCR. KTR questioned what actions should be taken now and tagged Om Birla in his tweet.
During his speech, Bandi Sanjay alleged that KCR and his family members were involved in the embezzlement of Telangana’s resources. He also claimed a significant increase in their income and assets.
Additionally, Bandi Sanjay referred to KCR as ‘Kasim Chandrasekhar Razvi’, drawing a comparison to Kasim Razvi, the founder of the Razakar militia during the time of the Hyderabad State. The Chair, however, advised Sanjay against mentioning specific names.
Bandi Sanjay, who humorously referred to BRS as ‘Bharashtachar Rakshas Samithi’, also made comments about KCR’s involvement in consuming alcohol.
