Leopard Spotted at Srisailam Temple Grounds:
Leopard Spotted Near Srisailam Temple, Causing Alarm Among Devotees
A leopard was seen within the vicinity of the Srisailam temple on Sunday night, which left devotees who had gathered for prayers startled.
The leopard was observed perched on a verandah near Paladhara and Panchadhara, with some devotees capturing the incident on their mobile phones.
This presence of the animal caused anxiety among both the local residents and visiting devotees. The area is situated approximately 3-4 km from the temple.
As such encounters have become somewhat common in the Srisailam area, the temple authorities have been devising plans to build a protective wall between the temple and the forest area to prevent wild animals from entering.
Ultimately, on Sunday night, the animal fled into the nearby forest area due to the noise generated by the devotees. Over the weekend, both on Saturday and Sunday, the temple town has witnessed a significant influx of devotees.
