Life of the man who carried his wife dead body in the past!

Dana Mahji, from Orissa, made headlines after his pictures carrying his wife’s dead body went viral in August 2016. People from all around the world were moved seeing his pitiful condition. The made had carried the dead body of his wife, who died of Tuberculosis on his shoulder for over 10 km.
Post that incident, Mahji received Rs 10,000 from Red Cross Society within a week of the incident. But shockingly he also received a check of Rupees 9 Lakhs from the King of Bahrain. Various social organization and NGO’s came forward to financially support Mahji.
The local officials also helped Mahji by sanctioning him under the ‘Pradhan Mantri Gramin Awas Yojana’ scheme. The house is currently under construction. Mahji has deposited the funds he received as fixed-deposits in his daughters’ name.
He also got re-married recently. He is currently survived by his wife and three daughters. His daughters are studying in Residential High School, Bhuvaneshwar. He also owns a two-wheeler Honda Bike worth Rs. 65,000. He is practising agriculture in the little farm land he owns.
