Small films are proving time and again that content matters more than star power, and Little Hearts is the latest example. This youthful, nostalgic drama, starring YouTube sensation Mouli Tanuj Prashanth and Shivani Nagaram, is making waves at the box office with impressive collections.
Several factors worked in favor of Little Hearts even before its release. Mouli, riding high on the success of his debut series 90’s – A Middle Class Biopic, returned with a film backed by the same director-producer team, including Aditya Hasan and ETV Win. The involvement of noted distributor Bunny Vasain in acquiring the theatrical rights further added credibility and anticipation.
Mouli’s signature humorous style and relatable promotional videos created a buzz among young audiences on social media, while the film’s trailer garnered widespread attention, building excitement ahead of its release.
The positive word-of-mouth and encouraging reviews gave Little Hearts an extra push. In a remarkable feat, the film reportedly reached its break-even point within just two days of release. Impressively, it held its ground against big-ticket films like Anushka Shetty’s Ghaati, raking in around ₹4.25 crores at the box office—proving that a well-crafted small film can indeed win big.
