The much-awaited Mahakali, the first female superhero from the Prasanth Varma Cinematic Universe (PVCU), has generated fresh buzz with its latest update. Directed by Pooja Kolluri, the film features Bhoomi Shetty in the lead role.
The makers unveiled a new poster today featuring Akshaye Khanna along with the intriguing tagline, “The End Begins.” They also announced that the film’s first glimpse will be released on August 24, 2026. With curiosity surrounding the project steadily growing, fans are now eagerly waiting for an official announcement regarding its theatrical release date.
Set against the backdrop of West Bengal, Mahakali is written by Prasanth Varma and produced by Riwaz Ramesh Duggal under the RKD Studios banner. Smaran Sai is composing the music for the film.
According to reports, the makers are targeting a Sankranthi 2027 release for this highly anticipated superhero film.
