Mahakali, part of the Prasanth Varma Cinematic Universe (PVCU), has generated considerable buzz with its initial promotional material. Now, the upcoming superhero film has moved ahead of its Sankranthi 2027 competitors in another promotional milestone.
The film has become the first among the festival releases to announce its debut single. Titled Aigiri Nandini, the song is scheduled to be released tomorrow. Composed by Smaran Sai, the promotional glimpse has already created excitement among music lovers and raised expectations for the full track.
With Mahakali taking the lead in musical promotions, it remains to be seen when the other Sankranthi releases will begin their promotional campaigns.
Bhoomi Shetty plays the lead role in the film, which marks Pooja Kolluri’s feature directorial debut. Akshaye Khanna, Sriya Reddy and several other notable actors are also part of the cast.
Produced by Riwaz Ramesh Duggal under the RKD Studios banner, Mahakali is scheduled for a multilingual theatrical release on January 8, 2027. The makers are planning to release the superhero spectacle in IMAX and other premium formats.
