Superstar Mahesh Babu is currently busy with his upcoming big-budget visual spectacle Varanasi, directed by S. S. Rajamouli. While the film is still several months away from its theatrical release, the actor has made an interesting move outside the film industry by investing in the gaming sector.
Mahesh Babu has reportedly become an investor in Shotgun Games, a Mumbai-based interactive entertainment company. The partnership will support the development of Takedown Genesis, an adventure game planned for PC and console platforms. The project is being led by director Vikki Arora.
Shotgun Games co-founders Jeet Chandan and Vidit Mehta confirmed the investment. Mahesh Babu also expressed his excitement about joining the company’s journey. The announcement has generated interest among fans, who were also treated to a recent glimpse of the actor looking stylish and charming.
On the film front, Varanasi remains Mahesh Babu’s next major project, with no other committed films announced so far. The movie is scheduled to hit theatres on April 7, 2027. Further details about the project are expected to be revealed by the makers in the coming months.
