The much-awaited Indian epic Ramayana: Rise of a Legend is just three days away from its worldwide theatrical release. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the film features Ranbir Kapoor, Yash and Sai Pallavi in key roles. With the release approaching, the film has recorded a significant rise in advance ticket sales.
According to the latest booking figures, ticket sales increased by nearly 36,000 in a single day. The previous highest count stood at around 50,000, but the number surged to approximately 86,000 yesterday. With positive buzz surrounding the film, advance bookings are expected to gain further momentum. The response to its Los Angeles premiere has also reportedly contributed to the growing interest.
If the current trend continues, the film could soon cross the one-lakh mark in advance ticket sales.
Meanwhile, reports about the film’s theatrical screening formats have sparked disappointment among some fans. As per these reports, the flat format will be available only in IMAX theatres, while other screens will showcase the film in the scope format. Some moviegoers feel that restricting the flat format to IMAX is disappointing, considering the film’s massive scale and budget.

Backed by Namit Malhotra and Yash, the mythological epic also stars Sunny Deol, Kajal Aggarwal, Rakul Preet Singh, Ravi Dubey and Arun Govil, among others. The film is scheduled for a multilingual release on November 5, 2026. Hans Zimmer and A. R. Rahman have jointly composed the music.
