Mythri Movie Makers is set to bring its Tamil comedy-drama Modha Rathiri to streaming audiences soon. The film, which had its theatrical release on August 21, 2026, has now secured its OTT premiere, with Netflix set to stream the movie later this month.
According to the latest update, Modha Rathiri will begin streaming on September 18, 2026. The film will be available in multiple languages, including Telugu, allowing it to reach audiences beyond its original Tamil market.
Directed by Raja Karuppasamy in his feature directorial debut, Modha Rathiri blends comedy and drama with mystery elements. Rishikanth and Anishma Anilkumar headline the film, while the supporting cast features Bagavathi Perumal, A. Venkatesh, Chetan, Abdool Lee, Shelly Kishore, Sangeetha Balan and Banupriya.
The film received a mixed-to-modest response from critics following its theatrical release, while audience reactions were relatively more encouraging. Its arrival on Netflix could now give Modha Rathiri an opportunity to connect with a broader viewership, particularly through its availability in Telugu.
Interestingly, Modha Rathiri shared its theatrical release date with Ravi Teja’s Irumudi, another Mythri Movie Makers production. Both films are now set to make their OTT premieres on Netflix, giving streaming audiences an opportunity to discover the two August releases from the production house.
