With postpaid mobile telephony set to be returned in Kashmir from Monday, Jammu and Kashmir management has shown hope that it would help complete normalcy in the Valley.

The state government declared on Saturday that nearly 40 lakh postpaid mobile phones will become operational from Monday noon. mobiles with prepaid and a few other internet services will be suspended for now.
“When the curbs on the cell phones have been taken away, we are anticipating a huge number of travelers to come there. We are also assuming that people if they are anyhow not able to do regular activities, have no more explanation not to do that,” Governor’s advisor Farooq Khan told the reporters on Sunday.
Stating that radicalization seems to have no place in Jammu and Kashmir, he said the teenagers have presented a go-by to the radicalization despite the greatest feasible efforts by Pakistan which has given no stone unturned to ruin the lovely state.
In response to another query regarding the explosion in grenade assaults by terrorists including the one at Hari Singh High Street in Srinagar on Saturday which left seven walkers injured.
“Our acquaintance (Pakistan) will proceed to try its best to disrupt the unity in Jammu and Kashmir but we are robust enough and have shown our flexibility. The state has shown its flexibility towards any such offensive actions by this neighbor,” he said.
At a separate purpose here this afternoon, the advisor told that the administration is conscious of the limitation uttered by the people over the recently set up toll plaza at Sarore on Jammu-Pathankot highway.
“Better highways, bridges, and subways are being built across the nation under public-private partnership to implement good foundation to the people. The toll plazas are being set up for time being to yield money to the organization associated in the construction work,” he said.
Khan, however, said the concerned ministry will take up the matter with the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) to discuss the interest of the people.
Politicians splitting over party lines have associated the current demand for stripping of the toll plaza at Sarore in Samba district. On the mistreating of a driver by a toll plaza builder and his staff, Khan said, “The law will take its course.”
“Nobody is permitted to take law into his own hands. If somebody has done this, the law is there and appropriate action will be taken against the accused,” he said.
