Coolie Box Office Collection – Hindi Version Update

After a fantastic opening day worldwide, Superstar Rajinikanth’s Coolie has maintained strong momentum at the box office. The gangster action drama has already crossed the ₹200 crore gross mark globally in just two days.

Hindi Version Performance

Since Coolie is a PAN-India release, special attention has been on its performance in the Hindi belt.

  • Day 1 (Hindi): ₹4.25 crore nett

  • Day 2 (Hindi): ₹6.5 crore nett (50% growth)

  • Two-Day Total: ₹10.75 crore nett

The Independence Day holiday fueled growth, although mixed reports from critics and audiences kept collections slightly below the higher end of predictions.

Outlook

The Hindi version of Coolie is now targeting ₹20 crore nett over its extended four-day weekend. The film is performing strongest in single screens, with multiplex performance being moderate.

The big test will be on Monday’s hold, which will determine the long-term prospects of the Hindi version. Analysts note that without the clash with War 2, Coolie might have fared even stronger in North India.

Director Lokesh Kanagaraj’s highly anticipated film Coolie is finally set to hit the screens tomorrow. Starring Superstar Rajinikanth in the titular role, the film also features Nagarjuna Akkineni in a powerful negative role.

Nagarjuna plays Simon, the main antagonist, and he recently revealed that his character is heavily inspired by Heath Ledger’s iconic Joker from The Dark Knight.

During promotions, Shruthi Haasan and Nagarjuna discussed the film and Lokesh Kanagaraj’s admiration for the Joker character. “Lokesh Kanagaraj is a huge fan of Batman. He had Heath Ledger’s Joker in his mind and probably saw that madness in Simon’s role,” said Nagarjuna, adding with a laugh, “I’m glad he didn’t put that smile.”

Simon’s character is said to be a turning point in the script. Even Rajinikanth was surprised when he learned Nagarjuna was cast in the role. At first glance at the trailer, the portrayal of Simon has grabbed attention, raising expectations. Coming right after Kuberaa, Nagarjuna is hopeful this film will mark another major revelation in his career.

Adding to the excitement, Coolie is clashing at the box office tomorrow with Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR’s War 2, making it one of the biggest cinematic showdowns of the year.

Barbarik Trailer: An Emotional Anthology with a Mythological Twist

In the crowded space of small-budget films, some projects manage to grab attention with their unique concepts — and Tribanadhari Barbarik is one of them. From its intriguing title to its striking first look, the film has been generating curiosity, and the newly released trailer has only heightened the buzz.

Featuring a talented ensemble cast including Sathyaraj, Sathyam Rajesh, Udhaya Bhanu, and others, the film is an anthology written and directed by Mohan Srivatsa. The trailer hints at a plot centered around Sathyaraj’s character, whose life connects to several others through multiple storylines.

At the heart of these narratives is a mysterious book titled Tribanadhari and the enigmatic character Barbarik — a figure from mythology believed to be Bheema’s grandson. How this mythological element weaves into a contemporary emotional drama is something audiences will discover in theatres.

The trailer is rich with human emotions, layered subplots, and a touch of mystery, backed by strong technical work — from striking cinematography to an evocative background score. Produced by Vijaypal Reddy, with Kushendar Ramesh Reddy as DOP and Marthand K. Venkatesh handling editing, the film promises both visual and narrative depth.

If the emotional core clicks with audiences, Tribanadhari Barbarik could become a surprise box-office success.

The newly released behind-the-scenes clip, aptly titled “Spark Of Paradise,” plunges viewers into the heart of a gritty prison set at Ramoji Film City. The video opens with Nani’s character, Jadal, working out in his cell. Tension crackles as other inmates arm themselves, gearing up for a violent showdown. Jadal, however, remains calm — sitting silently, exuding an intimidating stillness before the chaos erupts.

What follows is a glimpse of an intense, high-octane action sequence, with Srikanth Odela meticulously choreographing the carnage. Adding to the adrenaline, Anirudh Ravichander’s pounding score fuels every frame, heightening the raw, visceral energy.

Two of the year’s most-awaited films, War 2 and Coolie, are set to release tomorrow, and Telugu audiences are brimming with excitement. Although both are dubbed releases, the buzz is massive thanks to the star Telugu heroes playing pivotal roles.

In Coolie, Nagarjuna Akkineni takes on the first full-fledged negative role of his four-decade career, portraying the menacing Simon. Director Lokesh Kanagaraj reportedly wrote the role with Nag in mind, and even Rajinikanth admitted in a video that he wished to play Simon instead of Deva. Fans are eager to witness how Nagarjuna transforms into this iconic villain.

Meanwhile, War 2 marks Jr NTR’s Bollywood debut in his two-decade-long career. At the pre-release event, Tarak revealed that producer Aditya Chopra assured him the film would make his fans proud. Playing opposite Hrithik Roshan in a role with negative shades, Jr NTR has raised curiosity across India. His viral “double collar” moment at the event only amplified the anticipation.

Both films present first-time-ever career milestones for these Telugu stars — Nagarjuna as a villain and Jr NTR in Bollywood — making tomorrow’s releases a historic moment for Tollywood fans.

AP Govt Approves Massive Ticket Price Hike for War 2 and Coolie

After approving a steep hike for Rajinikanth’s Coolie, the Andhra Pradesh government has now sanctioned the same increase for NTR and Hrithik Roshan’s War 2. Ticket prices have been raised by ₹75 (including GST) for single screens and ₹100 (including GST) for multiplexes, over the existing rates.

In a special privilege, War 2 distributors have also been allowed to screen an exclusive 5 A.M. show, with tickets priced at a premium of ₹500 for that screening. Coolie will also have a 5 A.M. show in AP, but without this special premium rate.

The revised prices will be in effect from August 14 to August 23. With the hike, tickets in AP will now be capped at ₹220 for single screens and ₹277 for multiplexes.

While Telangana rejected any price enhancement for these Independence Day releases, Andhra Pradesh’s approval of significant hikes is expected to boost initial box office collections for both films.
