It seems that the wedding season is currently running for the Indian actress. This wedding season of this year begins with Sonam Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Priyanka Chopra and now Shweta Basu Prasad. The 27 years old actress Shweta Basu Prasad tied the knot with her long-time boyfriend, filmmaker Rohit Mittal on yesterday (13th December) in Pune. The wedding ceremony followed in Bengali tradition. The marriage was held in the presence of their families and few relatives. Shweta Basu Prasad looked like a beautiful Bengali bride in a pink silk saree and the groom Rohit Mittal looked in a black achkan-churidaar along with a beige turban.

Shweta Basu Prasad made her film debut with dual roles in Makdee film at her 11 years old and got a National Award as a Best Child Actress. She also made her Telugu debut with a film titled Kotha Bangaru Lokam opposite Varun Sandesh and this film was the biggest hit of the 2008 year. Later she was seen in a few Telugu movies. She was charged for the sex racket case and later she has received a clean chit from the Hyderabad High-Court. Then, she appeared in a Hindi television serial Chandra Nandini. At that typical time of Shweta Basu Prasad, the Telugu actor Manchu Vishnu promised her to give a movie chance. But, he was not given any chance to her. Bollywood producer Ekta Kapoor has given a chance to Shweta Basu and produced a serial titled Chandra Nandini featured Shweta Basu as the lead lady. She has not signed any films and serials at now and currently celebrating her wedding stage.
