Kangana Ranaut on the challenge of directing a film.

Kangana Ranaut, who recently wrapped up the shooting of her upcoming film Emergency, has shared the challenges she faced while directing it. Emergency is a film in which Kangana not only portrays the role of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi but also serves as the director.

In an Instagram story, Kangana Ranaut shared a clip of American director Martin Scorsese discussing the difficulties of framing and blocking a scene. In her post, Kangana discussed the daily ordeal that a director must face, as they are bombarded with 400-500 questions per day from various departments, such as camera, art, actors, make-up, production, and direction.

She added that explaining what you want to do as a director is much harder than actually doing it, as limiting one’s vision to words is agonizing. Kangana’s Emergency is written, produced, and directed by her, and Renu Pitti is also producing the film, with Ritesh Shah penning the dialogues.

Later this year, the film Emergency, written, produced, and directed by Kangana Ranaut, and featuring Shreyas Talpade, Anupam Kher, Mahima Chaudhry, Milind Soman, Satish Kaushik, and others in the cast, will release in theaters.

Apart from Emergency, Kangana Ranaut is also working on other projects. She will play the role of Goddess Sita in the pan-Indian film Sita – The Incarnation, and also star in the films Tejas, Noti Binodini’s biopic, and Chandramukhi 2. The latter is a sequel to superstar Rajinikanth’s 2005 Tamil movie Chandramukhi, a horror comedy directed by filmmaker Vasu, who also directed the original. Lawrence, Vadivelu, and Jyothika are also set to star in Chandramukhi 2.
