Priyanka meets ASHA workers in Lucknow

Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Thursday met ASHA workers here and discussed their problems.

The ASHA workers were recently beaten up by the police when they attempted to meet Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath during his visit to Shahjahanpur. They wanted to meet the Chief Minister regarding their demands but the meeting could not take place.

It may be recalled that the Congress has announced that if it forms the government in Uttar Pradesh after the Assembly polls scheduled next year, the honorarium of Anganwadi and ASHA workers will be increased to Rs 10,000 per month.

Rajamouli and team set to release third single from ‘RRR’

Jr NTR and Ram Charan-starrer ‘RRR’ has managed to grab everyone’s attention. Director S.S. Rajamouli and his team who plan to release the movie in January, have kickstarted the promotions.

The release of ‘Naatu Naatu’/’Nacho Nacho’ grabbed everyone’s attention. With Jr NTR and Ram Charan shaking a leg to M.M. Keeravani’s peppy composition, this song has become one of the most liked ones in recent times.

Now that the makers are planning to release the third single from the movie, here is an update. The makers have decided to unveil the third single on November 18.

‘RRR’ is bankrolled by D.V.V. Danayya, which is touted to be a fictional story based on the lives of freedom fighters Alluri Seetharama Raju and Komaram Bheem. While ‘Rangasthalam’ fame Ram Charan plays Seetharama Raju, Jr NTR will be seen as Komaram Bheem.

Actors Alia Bhatt, Alison Doody, Ajay Devgn, Olivia Morrison, Ray Stevenson, Shriya Saran, and Samuthirakani play key roles in this upcoming pan-India movie. ‘RRR’ is slated to hit theaters on January 7.

Anasuya Bharadwaj’s first look from ‘Pushpa’ fails to enthuse fans

Directed by Sukumar, Allu Arjun’s pan-India movie ‘Pushpa: The Rise’ is one of the most anticipated movies in recent times. With a rustic, rural backdrop, the makers had managed to establish a decent buzz around the movie.

The makers unveiled the first look poster of actress Anasuya Bharadwaj on Wednesday, which has left the fans and followers in splits. While Anasuya’s unrecognisable look goes viral, it seems like most of the movie fans have not approved of this look.

Introduced as ‘Dakshayini’, Anasuya’s introductory poster is termed as ‘savorless’ by movie fans.

The first look poster of Anasuya Bharadwaj features her in a primitive avatar. Though the team seems to have put their efforts together for this look, it only looks like a cobbled-together pose. Anasuya is seen wearing heavy golden jewels, as she chews paan, and a nutcracker in her hands.

Her intense look makes the actress unrecognisable, which is not well-received by the Telugu audience. Well, in contrast to these reviews, the makers believe Anasuya’s role in the movie ‘Pushpa’ will fetch her praise.

Pushpa’s story is based on real-life incidents from the remote parts of Andhra Pradesh’s Chittoor district. The story is said to revolve around the red sandalwood smugglers in the Seshachalam hills of the region.

Directed by Sukumar, the film will see Allu Arjun playing the role of a sandalwood smuggler named Pushpa Raj, who is paired up with Rashmika Mandanna.

‘Pushpa’ is a two-part movie and is bankrolled by Mythri Movie Makers in association with Muttamsetty Media.

Mahesh Babu movie inspires Telangana man to build village school

Popular Tollywood actor Mahesh Babu on Wednesday said he was moved beyond words to learn that his movie ‘Srimanthudu’ was the inspiration behind the construction of a high school in Telanganas Kamareddy district.

He took to Twitter to thank Subhash Reddy, a businessman and philanthropist, who had donated Rs 6 crore for the construction of a government school at Bibipet. “We are incredibly humbled Subhash Reddy ‘garu’. You are a true hero.. We need more people like you,” the actor tweeted.

Mahesh Babu’s tweet was in response to the inauguration of the school by the state’s Industry and Information Technology Minister K.T. Rama Rao and Education Minister P. Sabitha Indra Reddy.

KTR, as the minister is popularly known, tweeted pictures of the school and the inauguration ceremony. During his speech, the minister revealed that Subhash Reddy had been inspired by the Mahesh Babu film.

“Had I known this, I would have brought along Mahesh Babu,” KTR said. “He would have been happy that, inspired by his movie, some people are doing such great work,” he added.

The minister said he would invite Mahesh Babu when the work on a junior college being also built in the area gets completed.

This journey also marks an incredibly significant chapter in my life as I was able to overcome and conquer one of my many fears.”

He adds how Bear helped him to overcome his fear while facing number of challenges from crocodiles, sharks and snakes including the uncertain tides and weather.
