For those who follow the reality show regularly, the concept of wild-card entry would be familiar.

In the first season of “Bigg Boss Telugu”, actor Navadeep had a blasting entry as the wild-card player. The second, third, and fourth seasons also had a similar approach of sending one or two more contestants into the house.

However, the makers of the current season of “Bigg Boss Telugu” seem to be thinking if or not to pick any celebrity to send into the house.

The current season of “Bigg Boss Telugu” has been a tougher season, as most of the contestants are hard to crack. With the intense drama along with mind-blowing performances, the contestants are doing very well, resulting in much growth in the TRP ratings for the show.

So, it has been a difficult task for the makers to introduce another person on the show as of now. Also, the contestants have already completed more than sixty days on the reality show. If any other contestant would enter the house now, it would not be fair enough in any aspect of the show.

Although there are reports about wild-card entry on “Bigg Boss Telugu 5”, there is no official confirmation from the show makers, either.

Meanwhile, which contestant from the remaining eleven would leave the house on Sunday is still unknown.

Censor Board clears Dulquer Salmaan’s ‘Kurup’ with U/A certificate

Director Srinath Rajendran’s eagerly awaited Malayalam film, ‘Kurup’, featuring Dulquer Salmaan in the lead, has been cleared with a U/A certificate. The movie has a run time of two hours and 36 minutes.

Scheduled to hit the screens on November 12, ‘Kurup’ has triggered immense interest in fans of Malayalam cinema across the world, as its story is based on the life of Sukumara Kurup, a man identified as India’s longest-hunted fugitive.

The film will also go down in history as being the first Malayalam film to have its trailer played on the Burj Khalifa in Dubai. The promo will be screened on November 10 at 8.10 p.m. on the world’s tallest structure.

Featuring Indrajith Sukumaran, Sunny Wayne, Shine Tom Chacko, Sobhita Dhulipala and Anupama Parameshwaran, among others, the film also holds the distinction of being the first Indian film to launch NFT collectibles.

Celebrated Punjabi singer-rapper-lyricist Sidhu Moose Wala and singer Barbie Maan have joined hands for a track titled ‘Moh’.

Barbie says that her latest song ‘Moh’ will have a great impact on the audience not only for its music but also because of its great visuals.

Jasmeet Kaur Maan who is popular as Barbie Maan has given singles like ‘Teri Gali’. While talking about her experience shooting for ‘Moh’, Barbie said: “It has always been a fruitful experience collaborating with this production house.”

“As much as I have loved the song’s music, I must say that we have created a visual spectacle. The whole team worked wholeheartedly along with Sidhu”.

‘Moh’ is a Punjabi song for which music is given by The Kidd, lyrics by Rangrez Sidhu and has been shot by Sukh Sanghera.

The shooting was done in London and completed within five days.

The Punjabi song released on Saturday on the official YouTube channel of Gold Media, is sung by Barbie and Sidhu Moose Wala. The duo have also featured in this track.

Sidhu is known for songs like ‘So High’, ‘Bambiha Bole’ and his debut album ‘PBX 1’ peaked at 66th on Billboard Canadian Albums chart.

Akshay Kumar-starrer ‘Sooryavanshi’ has received a roaring response on day one of its release. The film has minted Rs 26.29 crore, so far.

‘Sooryavanshi’ marks the fourth installment of filmmaker Shetty’s cop universe after ‘Singham’ franchise and ‘Simmba’.

The film stars Akshay as Anti-Terrorism Squad chief DCP Veer Sooryavanshi and also features Katrina Kaif and Jackie Shroff.

The film revolves around Veer Sooryavanshi, the chief of the Mumbai Anti-Terrorism Squad and his team who join forces with inspector Sangram Bhalerao and DCP Bajirao Singham to stop a terrorist group planning to attack Mumbai.

Nani’s movie faces twin challenge ahead of release

Noted Telugu actor Nani, who has made his mark as the ‘Natural Star’ of Tollywood, is all set to entertain the audience with his dual role in ‘Shyam Singha Roy’.

Touted to be an action drama, the movie is set in 1970s Kolkata. As announced by the makers, ‘Shyam Singha Roy’ is slated for release on December 24.

The film’s team has also kick-started its promotion, as ‘Shyam Singha Roy’ is in its final stage of post-production phase.

However, despite the buzz around the film, ‘Shyam Singha Roy’ is facing problems related to its release. It appears that Nani has to risk competing with two big releases — ‘Pushpa – The Rise’ and ‘RRR’.

‘Pushpa’ will hit the screens worldwide on December 17, while ‘RRR’ will be out in January. As a result, the makers of Nani’s movie are not sure how to plan its promotional activities considering the huge competition facing the film.

The makers of ‘Pushpa’ are expected to bombard the film circle with back-to-back updates starting end November till the movie hits the screens.

The makers of ‘RRR’ have prepared a calendar for the film’s promotion in December. Considering these factors, the makers of ‘Shyam Singa Roy’ need to gear up for the competition from all sides, so as to keep up the existing buzz around its release intact.

‘Shyam Singha Roy’ also features Sai Pallavi, Madonna Sebastian and Krithi Shetty in female lead roles.

Director Siva’s ‘Annaatthe’, starring Rajinikanth, Nayanthara and Keerthy Suresh in the lead roles, is raking in the moolah at the box office, if claims made on social media are to be believed.

Online platform Book My Show on Saturday tweeted that it had sold a whopping one million tickets for ‘Annaatthe’ by November 5. It added that ‘Annaatthe’ is the first movie to cross the one-million mark on the platform after the second lockdown was lifted.

Other sources too seem to indicate the film has taken a fantastic opening. Qube Cinema, in a tweet, claimed that ‘Annaatthe’ had collected $1.5 million across all first day, first shows overseas, excluding the UK and Europe.

Chennai-based trade analyst Manobala Vijayabalan on Twitter claimed that the film, which was released for Deepavali, had collected Rs 34.92 crore on the first day in Tamil Nadu alone. On Day Two, he said, the movie had earned Rs 27.15 crore, taking the total collections in the state up to Rs 62.07 crore.

‘Annaatthe’ was released in 1,100 overseas theatres, the biggest such rollout for a Tamil film. The film, which has a huge star cast that includes Khushbu, Meena, Soori and Jagapathi Babu, and is about sibling love, however, opened to mixed reviews. The audiences, though, seem to have ignored the critics and crowded theatres to see their favourite Thalaiva.

Debutante Sharvari, who was an assistant director on the sets of ‘Bajirao Mastani’, was thrilled to be on the quiz show that actor Ranveer Singh is currently hosting.

She says Ranveer inspired him and that she always wished for the day she would do a film with the livewire star.

Sharvari said: “Promoting my debut film ‘Bunty Aur Babli 2’ on ‘The Big Picture’ was a surreal moment not only because it was one of my first Television integrations but also the fact that I was on the same screen as Ranveer Singh.

“In 2015, I was an AD on one of Ranveer’s most iconic films ‘Bajirao Mastani’. I was a clap AD on the action unit and got to witness his mind boggling performance so closely.

“He absolutely inspired me and everyday was a learning being able to watch him in his element. I always wished for the day I would do a film with Ranveer Singh.”

Sharvari, who is gearing up for the release of her upcoming comedy heist film ‘Bunty Aur Babli 2’, hopes that her dream of sharing screen space with Ranveer comes true someday.

“But, for now, I am super happy and excited that I got to be on his show and share screen space with him! So, this journey from being an assistant director to being able to stand on the same platform with him was definitely a part of my big picture.”

Sharvari has been paired with Siddhant Chaturvedi, who plays the big city conman aka the new Bunty in the second installment of the film.

‘Bunty Aur Babli 2’ also features Saif Ali Khan and Rani Mukerji. It is slated to release on November 19.

‘RRR’ makers announce release of song ‘Naatu Naatu’

The makers of Ram Charan and NTR-starrer ‘RRR’ had announced to release the second single song from the much-anticipated movie.

With a mammoth hype surrounding this movie, the makers are all set to give another amplification with the release of the second song.

“RRR SecondSingle Update for you all..A High Voltage Dance number, on Nov 10th,” the makers tweeted.

With ‘Naatu Naatu’ as the lyrics for the Telugu version of the second single, the makers hint that this is going to be a mass number.

Also, the makers unveiled a poster featuring both the main leads, NTR and Ram Charan.

Both are seen dressed up in a classy way, but their pose hints at an electrifying dance.

As both are seen dancing together, they match each other’s pose. The first single which was released a couple of months ago created much impact, as it went viral all over the country. The music is being composed by MM Keeravani.

Helmed by SS Rajamouli, ‘RRR’ is set in the 1920s, the pre-Independence era of India. Jr NTR, Ram Charan, Ajay Devgn, Alia Bhatt, and Olivia Morris star in major roles in this visually grand movie.

‘RRR’ is slated for its release on January 7, 2022, while the makers unveiled a teaser with the title ‘Glimpse of RRR’ a couple of days ago.

With only 11 members left on the reality show, the makers seem to be concentrating on the unnecessary matters going on, in the ‘Bigg Boss Telugu 5’ house.

Actors Siri and Shanmukh, who are branded as the best friends on the show, are being focused more, on the recent episodes of the reality show, which is being hated by the viewers.

Getting into the details, Shanmukh and Siri are spotted playing group games on the show.

From the start of the season, the duo was always seen together.

Even in the nominations, the duo voted for similar inmates, which made everyone believe they are good friends with a mutual game plan.

But, the recent episodes have become a ‘cringe-show’ to the viewers, as the duo keep fighting for silly reasons, which appear to be their ‘content-creation’.

‘Bigg Boss Telugu 5’ viewers appear to be fed up with these made-up fights, going by their opinions on the social media platforms.

Akshay Bardapurkar’s Planet Marathi and Piiyush Singh’s Golden Ratio Films bring Independent film studio Black Hangar Studios onboard for the Marathi film ‘Moghul Mardini Chhatrapati Tararani’, starring Sonalee Kulkarni.

Black Hangar Studios is the name behind many Hollywood productions like ‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story’, ‘Dark Tide’, ‘The Grand Tour, 24: Live Another Day’, and many more.

The film will be titled ‘Moghul Mardini Chhatrapati Tararani’ and is based on one of the greatest epics of valor of the warrior queen Chhatrapati Tararani who fought with the Mughals, Nizamshahi, Aadilshahi, Qutubshahi, Dutch, British, Portuguese, Siddis at the same time.

Planet Marathi CMD, Akshay Bardapurkar said: “‘Chhatrapati Tararani’ is going to be a golden page in the history of Marathi cinema. Planet Marathi and Golden Ratio are proud to take the story of the Maratha warrior queen Chhatrapati Tararani to the world. This will be the first and one of the biggest Marathi-Hollywood films to go on floors with an international film studio.

“It is too soon to reveal more details about the film but we have a talented blend of filmmakers, musicians, and artists that are working hard to bring this beautiful presentation to our Marathi audiences. I strongly believe this film has the potential to take Marathi cinema at a newer height.”

‘Chhatrapati Tararani’ will be directed by popular Marathi director Rahul Jadhav. The film stars Hirkani of Marathi films, with actress Sonalee Kulkarni in the lead.

The makers are planning a Diwali 2022 release in India and overseas for this project.
