‘Rise of Shyam’ promo reinforces hype around ‘Shyam Singha Roy’

The makers of Nani and Sai Pallavi-starrer ‘Shyam Singha Roy’ dropped the promo of the first single from the movie. As the promo introduces ‘Shyam Singha Roy’s crux, it is shown that the movie is set in 1970 in the backdrop of Calcutta.

The music composed by Mickey J. Meyer is appealing, which hints at a blockbuster music album ahead. Also, the song promo was released in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada languages, introducing the lyricists, who have worked in every language.

The song promo titled ‘Rise of Shyam’ intensifies the buzz around the movie, as it hints at the hero’s idiosyncrasy. Nani’s intense look and his characterization are now well-established. Hence the song promo has doubled the hype and anticipation around the movie release.

‘Shyam Singa Roy’ stars Nani, Sai Pallavi, Krithi Shetty, and Madonna Sebastian as the lead actors. Nani is to appear in dual roles, one of them is to be a negative role. Slated for release on December 24, ‘Shyam Singha Roy’ is directed by Rahul Sankrityan, and is a multi-lingual movie.

Music of the Heart: New song ‘Tumse Bhi Zyada’ from Ahan Shetty’s ‘Tadap’

The trailer of Ahan Shetty and Tara Sutaria-starrer ‘Tadap’ has grabbed attention ever since its release. The film marks the Bollywood debut of Ahan.

The makers released the first song from the film ‘Tumse Bhi Zyada’ on the occasion of Dhanteras.

Ahan took to his social media and shared a glimpse of the song showing that things can take a pretty unusual turn when you’re least expecting. One moment Ahan and Tara can be seen in a romantic moment and the very next moment things turn darker as we see him being dragged by someone with his bike being set on fire.

The song starts off slow with the nylon guitar slowly giving into the feel of flamenco and soon transitions into a full blown classic Bollywood love number. The track has been composed by Pritam while Arijit Singh has gone behind the mic to lend vocals to the soulful track.

Kannada superstar Puneeth Rajkumar’s family conducted ‘Haalu-Tuppa’ ceremony (offering of milk and ghee to grave) at Kanteerava Studio premises where his mortal remains were laid to rest on Tuesday.

Though, prohibition orders are in place, thousands of his fans surrounded the stadium premises and urged that they should be allowed inside to pay respects to their favourite star. Owing to the pressure, the entry was allowed.

Raghavendra Rajkumar, Puneeth’s elder brother said that, his younger brother belonged to masses and since the family worshipping is done, they can visit his grave anytime, he said.

Puneeth’s wife Ashwini, daughters Dhriti and Vandana performed puja along with other members of the family.

Meanwhile, Telugu super star Akkineni Nagarjuna visited the residence of Puneeth Rajkumar and met his family members. “It’s very shocking and heartbreaking development. It is not possible for us to believe what happened. I am speechless and don’t know what to say to his family members,” he said.

“All are talking about only Puneeth Rajkumar’s virtues on how he involved into social service, how he encouraged talent. I don’t understand how God just took him away. My deepest condolences to his family, people of Karnataka and his fans. My heart goes out to him,” he said.

Telugu star Nandamuri Balakrishna undergoes shoulder surgery

Veteran Telugu actor Nandamuri Balakrishna was admitted to hospital in Hyderabad. He had complained of pain in his right shoulder which was bothering the actor for the last six months.

A statement from the medical representatives of the CARE Hospitals said that Balakrishna had complained that he could not lift his right hand and was in extreme pain.

“Upon evaluation accompanied by an MRI, our team of Orthopedic Surgeons at CARE Hospitals, Banjara Hills, we decided to treat Balakrishna. Our shoulder surgeon, Dr Raghuveer Reddy, and Dr B.N. Prasad performed a 4-hour surgery to repair the shoulder muscle tendons successfully,” the press note from the hospital said.

The report also suggests that the doctors have confirmed Balakrishna’s well-being, indicating that he has been doing well, and hence is ready to get discharged from the hospital.

Balakrishna’s fans are worried about the health condition of their favourite actor, as they wait for more updates regarding his health.

The ‘Lion’ actor is to be seen in Boyapati Srinu’s upcoming entertainer titled ‘Akhanda’. On the other hand, he is also hosting a show on Telugu OTT platform ‘AHA’. The show is titled ‘Unstoppable with NBK’. The actor recently shot for the first episode of the celebrity talk show, and appeared to be quite energetic, despite the shoulder pain.

Megastar Rajinikanth’s ‘Annaatthe’, which has triggered huge expectations among fans and the public, will have as big a release abroad as it has in India.

The film, which is scheduled to hit screens for Deepavali, will release in over 1,100 overseas theatres.

Sun Pictures, which has produced the film, claimed that this was the biggest overseas release for a Tamil film.

The production house, in a tweet, said ‘Annaatthe’ would be screened in as many as 677 theatres in the United States alone.

In the UAE, which has a considerable number of Indians, the film will release in 117 screens.

In Malaysia, the film would be screened in 110 theatres, while in neighbouring Singapore, it would be screened in 23 theatres. The film will be screened in 86 screens in the island nation of Sri Lanka.

The family entertainer, which has been directed by Siva, will release in 17 theatres in Canada and 35 theatres in the United Kingdom. It will release in 43 theatres in Europe and in 85 theatres in Australia and New Zealand.

With just a day to go for the film’s release, the excitement seems to be rising by the minute.

The film, which, apart from Rajinikanth, also features Nayanthara, Khushbu, Meena, Keerthy Suresh and Jagapathi Babu among others, has music by Imman and cinematography by Vetri.

As Indian celebrities latching onto the craze of non-fungible tokens (NFTs), megastar Amitabh Bachchan’s NFT collections reached highest ever bidding in India at $5,20,000 on Day 1 of the auction.

The record is proving to be the most successful so far with his ‘Madhushala’ NFT collection receiving highest ever bidding in India at $4,20,000 on Day 1 with two more days to go as fans continue to have a bidding frenzy.

Madhushala is his father’s collection of poems recorded in the superstar’s own voice.

“In a world of metaverses and digitization, NFTs have opened the doors to a new realm of connectivity and an opportunity to engage with my fans in a new way,” Bachchan said.

“The NFTs will offer the audience a chance to own an original piece of rare and cherished moments of my life including stories from my films, recitation from Madhushala, some back stories and moments from my films and these moments remain with them forever,” he added.

In addition to this, the auction also has seven autographed posters from his iconic movies and half a dozen collectibles of “punks and NFTs art and Poster collection” which have received bids worth over $1,00,000 on Day 1.

A unique feature to the auction is the “Loot Box”, worth $10 each. Every buyer of this box would get an assured art piece from the NFT collection. The Loot box goes live on November 2 at 7 pm offering 5000 collectibles for which over 300,000 crypto collectible fans have signed up globally.

This exclusive NFT auction is being hosted on BeyondLife.club, powered by Guardian Link, one of India’s biggest de-centralised branded marketplace for NFTs. The auction went live on November 1 and will close on November 4.

Meanwhile, following in the footsteps of megastars Amitabh Bachchan and Rajinikanth, actress Sunny Leone has also ventured into the NFT space.

Sunny has gone on to mint her NFTs. Minting is a process through which digital art becomes a part of the Ethereum blockchain – a public ledger that is unchangeable and tamper-proof.

The actress took the lead among Indian actors to secure their digital assets when she broke the news about her association with NFT, two months back. This made her the first Indian actress to roll out her own NFTs.

Pawan Kalyan all set to resume shooting for ‘Hari Hara Veera Mallu’

Tollywood star Pawan Kalyan is currently struggling as he juggles between his political tours and shooting for his upcoming movies.

Pawan Kalyan’s highly-anticipated period action drama, ‘Hari Hara Veera Mallu’ which is being directed by Krish Jagarlamudi, is readying for an upcoming shooting schedule. The makers had wrapped more than half of the talkie part, but then the second wave of the pandemic made it impossible for them to complete the schedule.

Sources suggest that the makers of this Krish directorial are going to resume the shooting formalities starting Tuesday. Though there is no information regarding Pawan Kalyan’s dates to shoot for this movie, it is assumed that the ‘Bheemla Nayak’ actor would join the sets post Diwali.

Pawan will be shooting for a high-octane fight sequence. Also, Bollywood stars Arjun Rampal and Jacqueline Fernandez are supposed to join the sets of ‘Hari Hara Veera Mallu’, to shoot for important sequences.

Actress Nidhhi Agerwal is to play the female lead in this movie. Pawan Kalyan is to appear as a warrior for the first time, in ‘Hari Hara Veera Mallu’.

M.M. Keeravani is roped in for the composition of the music for the epic drama. Telugu’s popular producer A.M. Rathnam is presenting the movie and A. Dayakara Rao is producing it. The film is scheduled to open in cinemas worldwide on April 29, 2022.

Sundar C’s horror-comedy ‘Aranmanai 3’ to see Nov 12 OTT release

Director Sundar C’s horror-comedy ‘Aranmanai 3’, which is running in theatres across the state, will release on OTT platform ZEE5 Tamil on November 12.

Actor Arya, who plays the lead in the film along with Raashi Khanna and Andrea Jeremiah, posted a video clip on Twitter confirming the news.

The third part of the immensely popular and hugely successful ‘Aranmanai’ franchise released in theatres on October 14.

While the earlier two parts of the ‘Aranmanai’ franchise were shot on sets erected for the purpose, this part was shot in a real palace in Gujarat called the Wankaner Palace, where the entire crew stayed for a period of 40 days.

The film, presented by Udhayanidhi Stalin on behalf of Red Giant Films and produced by Khushbu Sundar on behalf of Avni Cinemax, features a big star cast including the late actor Vivekh and popular comedian Yogi Babu.

Music for the film is by Sathya and cinematography is by U.K. Senthil Kumar.

Sai Dharam Tej’s ‘Republic’ set for OTT release

Sai Dharam Tej’s recent political drama titled ‘Republic’ was released at the theatres, opening to rather poor collections. Despite the underwhelming performance, the movie had received critical acclaim from noted politicians from the two Telugu states.

‘Republic’ is now set to land on OTT. The film is to premiere on ZEE5 on November 26. ZEE5 had bagged the digital rights of ‘Republic’ ahead of its theatrical release, as the makers were ambiguous about the theatrical release.

The political drama is directed by Deva Katta, who is well-known for his portrayal of social issues. Aishwarya Rajesh appeared as the female lead in this movie. Actress Ramya Krishnan and others had appeared in pivotal roles as well.

Sai Dharam Tej is currently recovering from injuries caused by an accident, which landed him in hospital for more than a month. ‘Republic’ was released when Sai Dharam Tej was still in hospital.

Sai Dharam Tej’s previous movie ‘Solo Brathuke So Betteru’ had an OTT release on ZEE5 as well.
