Making her debut as a director, Ghattamaneni Manjula, daughter of Superstar Krishna and sister of Superstar Mahesh Babu, directed the film ‘Manasuku Nachindi’. Sandeep Kishan, Amyra Dastur and Tridha Choudhury are playing the lead roles. Manjula’s daughter, Jahnavi, also played a small role in the film. Given the tag that the film is coming from Ghattamaneni family, Superstar Mahesh Babu Fans have already made arrangements to release the film. Let us know whether the film has lived to its expectations or not.

Story:

Sooraj (Sandeep Kishan) and Nithya (Amyra Dastur) are cousins, and best buddies too. Their parents perceive the friendship of Sooraj and Nithya as love and fix their marriage. With no other option, both of them elope to Goa. While Sooraj is passionate about photography, Nithya is obsessed with nature. She even starts meditation classes in Goa. Nikita aka Nikki (Tridha Choudhury) also attends these classes.

With time, Sooraj falls in love with Nikki, and even Nikki too accepts his proposal. At this time, Nithya realizes that it is indeed loved she is having towards Sooraj all this while, and just not friendship. She even goes to an extent of breaking Sooraj-Nikki relationship. After she comes to know that, Sooraj is not loving her, she accepts the love proposal from Abhay (Naveen). Both the love couples marriages get fixed.

This is when Sooraj too realizes that he is actually loving Nithya. Did Sooraj confess his love to Nithya? Will they get married? How did Nithya come to know that she is actually loving Sooraj? What about their (Sooraj and Nithya) parents reaction? To know these, watch the movie on the screen.

Analysis:

Sandeep Kishan fared decently in the film. But the actor failed to impress when it came to emotional scenes. On the contrary, Amyra Dastur, who is debuting in Telugu with this movie, gave an exceptional performance in terms of her acting, and screen presence. She was able to bring depth to emotional scenes. Another heroine, Tridha Choudhury did not have much screen space. She did decently well in the limited scope of her character. Manjula’s daughter, Jahnavi is a surprise. With her acting and timing, she impressed the audience.

The movie’s first half falls completely flat. No wonder if the audience complaint that, they found it difficult to sit and watch the movie. The second half is a saviour of the film. Nassar plays the grandfather role of the lead pair. Indeed, his character is the ‘key’ to the entire film. Priyadarshi comedy is just up to the mark.

Ghattamaneni Manjula, who is debuting as the director of the film, came up with the storyline, ‘one will be happy if they do what their heart says’. To this, she adds the importance of nature. The movie revolves around the friendship between two cousins, how it transforms into love, what are the hardships they faced, and how would they finally get together. This is nothing but a run-of-the-mill story, which we had seen repeatedly in Telugu films for the past two decades. The story selection itself is the biggest minus point to the entire film. Ravi Yadhav, with his cinematography, captured the soul of the film through his lens. Music by Raadhan is a big letdown. A couple of songs literally irrigate the audience. The production values from Gemini Kiran are excellent.

The moment the news broke out that ‘Natural Star’ Nani is producing a film, it raised expectations for the film. Despite his stint as a star hero, currently having a golden time in his career, Nani opted to try the ‘Production’ too. What’s more shocking is, the film marks the debut of a director, and that too a film with no commercial elements. What is the story that made Nani produce the film? Is it possible to make a Telugu film without commercial elements? Let’s know about them!

 Story:

There is absolutely no story in Awe. Indeed, it is the lives of the ‘character’ that we see on the screen. How to live and not to live? Way to die? If we continue telling about the list, it is endless. Frankly, trying to make a motion picture on this concept itself is a great achievement, but Prashant Varma not only made the film but also impressed everyone.

Awe starts off in an ultra-modern food court, with a Lesbian couple (Eesha Rebba and Nithya Menen) trying to convince their parents for their marriage. Then comes a woman (Kajal) filled with animosity, who plans to commit suicide and kill others. A drug addict waitress (Regina) is feeling low after her boyfriend asks her to help him in a burglary. We have the restaurant owner (Pragathi) who is busy convincing an investor to further expand the business. A little brave and gutsy girl, the owner’s daughter, wishes to extend her help to the needy around her.

Parallelly, there is the magician (Murali Sharma) who feels he is the best in the world. An unemployed young lad (Priyadarshi) works as a chef, thanks to YouTube. To him are two friends, the fish (Nani) and the tree (Ravi Teja).

Interestingly, our final character, a watchman (Avasarala Srinivas) who wishes to become a great scientist one day, and go to his parents. The food court becomes the testimony of the lives of all these characters. So what happened next? How are all these connected? To watch more, watch Awe on the big screen.

Analysis:

For a change, the success of the film isn’t actually on how the film is. It depends upon the ability of an average Telugu audience to understand the sub-plots and sub-thoughts within each character. Frankly speaking, director Prashant Varma won the moment, Nani got convinced on hearing the script and came forward to produce the movie. Given the complexity and depth of each individual character, the director nailed it to perfection on the screen. On a simple note, the director transformed the entire universe into a small food court, with billion feelings, built among the 10 characters.

Each character makes deep inroads into feelings and emotions. Be it the lesbian couple, the suicidal woman, or the fish and the tree. If someone asks to come up with a single word to define the film, it is an infusion; evolving from deep hardened and subtle human emotions.

If someone is well-versed with our ancient scriptures, they can truly find the inner meaning of the film. A human thought is hardly comparable when we compare ourselves to the unending universe. At the same time, in every human’s mind, there is an entire universe. This is the same philosophy one can come across with the Shaivite ‘Advaithva’ philosophy. Similar, the lines from Lord Sri Krishna’s Bhagavad Gita ‘Asathoma Sadgamaya… Tamasoma Jyothirgamaya… Mruthyormam Amruthangamaya…’ If there is anyone after the director Prashant Varma to be appreciated, it is the producer ‘Natural Star’ Nani. The hero truly deserves a special mention for making a dream into reality.

Coming to the performances, the cast excelled in their respective characters. Besides the lead cast performance, the voice over from Nani (for the fish) and Ravi Teja (for the tree) bring that extra flair to the movie. On a whole, the film is a sheer dream of the director. Just as Nani said, the film may or may not be liked by the Telugu audience presently. But there will be a day, where everyone will like this film.

Nevertheless, just like they say, the understanding of Bhagavad Gita is purely dependent on the interpreter’s mental ability and stability. The same is even with ‘Awe’.

Megastar Chiranjeevi has invited ‘Selective’ media to his house to share his opinion on Varun Tej’s movie Tholiprema. Apparently, quite a lot of media folks did not appreciate this partiality by Chiru.           

It is understood that the electronic media is omitted from the press briefing as the video feed would be passed on to them and they need to copy the feed and air it.

But the TV channel personnel have raised serious objections to this with Chiru’s PR team. In spite of megastar PR team coming forward clarifying about the ‘selective’ media invite is due to the space constraint in Chiru’s house, the electronic media personnel does not seem to be convinced with this theory.

On the other side, talking about films, Chiru did not show any keenness to speak on Sai Dharam Tej’s Intelligent, which bombed at the box office recently. While there is a lot of speculation surrounding over Chiru’s Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy, especially about the lead crew, it seems to be caught in confusion about its development. It is also understood that Chiru is visibly upset with his own look and is going for naturopathy in Vishakhapatnam to shed some weight quickly. One has to now wait and watch, whether Chiranjeevi will open on this and clear all speculations surrounding the film.

The hero is currently busy with the pre-production work of his upcoming film, ‘NTR’ which is a biopic of the legendary NTR. Close sources to the production unit have confirmed that Balakrishna will be sporting 62 avatars in the movie.

Yes, you read it right. He would literally sport 62 avatars in the upcoming film. In an age where star heroes are struggling to show the difference between two films, forget about sports dual characters with variation, Balakrishna really stands out. Even in the past, Balakrishna did sport multiple characters in a single film.

Even in the past, Kamal Hassan came up with 10 different avatars for his film Dasavataram. But sporting 62 avatars in a single movie that too in a biopic of NTR is surely a daredevil stunt from the Nandamuri Hero. Director Teja is currently working Hollywood stylists on the various looks and getups of the stated characters.

The film’s regular shooting will commence from May 2018. The movie is likely to release for 2019 Sankranti.

Natural Star Nani, is presently busy promoting his upcoming film ‘AWE’, in which he not only gave his voice over for a fish but also been the main pillar of the film, the producer. Even though he is at his peaks as an actor with eight consecutive hits, he still took the plunge by risking to do a non-commercial and different film like ‘AWE’. The film is slated to release tomorrow, i.e. on February 16th.

‘Natural Star’ Nani is taking the Telugu audience for a ride. After being criticized for his stereotype love stories and family dramas, the hero-turned-producer surprised everyone by turning into a fish. Nani is producing the movie ‘Awe’, with Prashant Varma debuting as director.

In an interview to a daily tabloid, Nani shared someone exciting things during the making of the film. Talking about Ravi Teja’s voiceover, Nani had to say a lot more.

‘On hearing the story, Ravi Tej liked it very much. In fact, he came forward to produce the film if required. Ravi Teja is someone whom I have known a lot since my journey as an actor. He used to call me on the first day of my film’s release and used to encourage me a lot. Ravi Teja giving voiceover to my film, that too in my production, is a privilege to me.
