Heartwarming to receive appreciation for hard work on ‘O2’: Thamizh A Azhagan

0

Cinematographer Thamizh A Azhagan, who impressed industry pundits by shooting Venkat Prabhu’s Tamil film ‘Manmatha Leelai’ in just 18 days, is yet again in the spotlight for his excellent work in the recently released Nayanthara-starrer ‘O2′.

The movie, directed by G.S. Viknesh, has been receiving appreciation ever since it was released on Disney+ Hotstar.

In particular, the visuals of a bus buried in a landslide and the shots inside the buried bus have all been garnering praise for cinematographer Thamizh A Azhagan.

Sharing his experience of working on the movie, Thamizh A Azhagan says, “Director GS Viknesh is a close friend. He narrated the script back in 2019 and I was keen on delivering visuals that looked real. Although sets were erected for the landslide and bus scenes, I wanted them to look so real that the audiences didn’t get to know that it was a set.”

“Besides, I wanted to make sure that the audiences understood and felt the characters’ desperation to survive. So, I started preparing for ‘O2’ in 2019, even before the commencement of the shoot. Every single scene was visualised first, with appropriate detailing, lighting graph and was finalised before going to the set. All these measures have helped us deliver a positive output.”

“I shot the entire movie by hand. That is to say, I shot the movie by placing the camera on my shoulders. Although it was a complicated and exhausting task, it was what was required. The cinematographer had the responsibility of conveying the pathos, pain, and fear of every single character inside the bus to the audience.

“So, I decided to experience the same emotions and behaved like a victim trapped in a similar situation. This, I believe, has helped me deliver their emotions,” says Thamizh Azhagan, who acknowledges that it is heartwarming to receive appreciation for two years of backbreaking hard work.

The film is about a mother, who with her eight-year-old son, gets stuck inside a bus that is buried in a landslide. The kid, battling a chronic lung disorder, cannot survive without the aid of an oxygen cylinder. A cop, who is also a passenger, looks to get his hands on the oxygen cylinder to survive. How the mother deals with the situation and saves her son forms the crux of this story.

Kiran Abbavaram wants film critics not to write early reviews

0

Telugu actor Kiran Abbavaram has appealed to film critics not to write reviews for films immediately after their release.

Kiran made his Telugu debut in 2019 with the love narrative ‘Raja Vaaru Rani Garu’ and has hits like ‘SR Kalyanamandapam’. Now that his upcoming rom-com ‘Sammathame’ is releasing soon, Kiran Abbavaram has a message to the Telugu movie reviewers.

Kiran has lately made an open call to the film reviewers to refrain from writing evaluations for films shortly after their release.

“Instead of offering reviews on Friday (the first day of film releases), delay a bit and express your reviews on Monday,” stated the young actor.

“You can totally bash a film if it is poor. However, please wait until Monday. For the first three days, let the audience watch the film and pass judgment. This is my sincere proposal to the community of film critics,” Kiran said.

Small-budget films that rely primarily on early reviews are being harmed, therefore the actor has made this appeal in order to give small films the benefit of the doubt, even if they aren’t as entertaining as predicted.

Kiran voiced his opinion ahead of the premiere of his new film ‘Sammathame’ on June 24 in theatres. The movie has Chandini Chowdary in the female lead role.

‘RRR’ star Jr Ntr is working on a film with Tamil director Vetrimaran, who also directed ‘Asuran’. There have been whispers about the two working together for a long time, and it appears that Jr NTR has given his nod for the collaboration.

Jr NTR is reportedly going to work with Vetrimaran, who has made a name for himself on the big screen with his compelling stories. The film is rumored to be a pan-India production, while the makers are yet to make the news official.

Jr NTR’s portrayal of the earthy character ‘Bheem’ in ‘RRR’ has given the idea that he is the right man for a role directed by Vetrimaran, whose films are known for their raw and realistic style.

Vetrimaran is recognized for films like ‘Aadukalam,’ ‘Kaaka Muttai,’ ‘Visaranai,’ ‘Asuran,’ ‘Kodi,’ ‘Vada Chennai,’ ‘Paava Kadhaigal,’ and many others. The majority of his films portray the defects in society, which are focused on caste segregation in a rural setting.

Rana Daggubati’s fans tell him to take it easy with his experimental approach

0

Rana Daggubati, who rose to fame across India for his portrayal in S.S. Rajamouli’s ‘Baahubali’, appears to have fallen short of the mark.

After the massive success of the ‘Baahubali’ duology, Rana hasn’t had much success, and his supporters are worried that he’s squandered the entire ‘Baahubali’ excitement.

The ‘Aranya’ star has been working on a variety of projects, and his fans have embraced his unconventional approach to acting. However, since then, his admirers have begun to get concerned because he has not achieved any sizeable hits.

Fans tell Rana to focus on building a strong market for himself and concentrate on commercial films in order to retake control of popular opinion.

‘Virata Parvam’, Rana’s most recent film, has had a dismal start with weekend box-office figures not encouraging.

“If all goes according to plan, Rana’s career will be on track in no time. He’s a seasoned performer. However, a few decisions were made incorrectly,” wrote one of his supporters on social media.

Rana’s participation in Pawan Kalyan’s ‘Bheemla Nayak’ had a bigger impact because the film had two strong actors going head-to-head. Apart from his trials with subjects, this is the type of subject Rana’s admirers want him to choose.

One of India’s most popular singers Sid Sriram says that some of the truest emotions are felt on stage.

Taking to Instagram to share his thoughts on a fantastic performance in Hyderabad, Sid said, “Hyderabad, you hold a special place in my heart. Big big big love. Put the work to work. Internalizing new experiences and integrating them into the foundation, building on that.

“I realized when I was in and out of sleep on the plane back to Chennai this morning that some of the truest emotions are felt on stage. It’s pretty wild how performing a song can jolt a quick lighting bolt of a feeling from your core and out through your body. Anything from regret to warmth to grit, and infinitely more.

The singer also went on to list some of his favorite moments from Sunday night’s performance and also wished people a happy Father’s day.

“Happy Father’s Day to all the dads. My dad is the dopest I know,” he said, in a lighter vein.
