Jayati Bhatia returns on ‘Sasural Simar Ka’ season 2

Actress Jayati Bhatia returns in the second season of “Sasural Simar Ka”. She plays Gitanjali Devi, or Mataji, in the show that has made her immensely popular.

“My character of Mataji has become synonymous with me and it is a testimony to the love and appreciation the viewer’s shower on us. While my character as Gitanjali Devi resonates with Mataji, there are few surprises that the audience will witness as the story unfolds,” she said.

She is looking forward to being back on the show that has made her popular.

“I am very excited to be back on the show, (it’s) more like a homecoming, I am looking forward to working with the new cast and with Dipika Kakar. I hope that season two of ‘Sasural Simar Ka’ tastes similar success as season one and achieves new feats,” she said of the Colors show.

Rahul Dev plays blue-blood investigating officer in new series

Mumbai, April 3,(Telugu Bullet)  Actor Rahul Dev plays an investigating police officer who is blue blood in the upcoming film “Raat Baaki Hai”, based on Atul Satya Koushik’s play “Ballygunge 1990” and set in Rajasthan.

“Ahalawat is my character. He’s in control and doing great at his job in the beginning of the narrative and then cracks the whodunit as the film progresses. He is blue blood from a traditional background but has a bit of a new-age mindset. He is educated but he retains his Haryanvi genes, especially when he is in the heat of the moment. The character has his own journey,” says Rahul.

The story starts with a murder of a character Vaani Kapoor, and Ahalawat, the head investigator, enters the crime scene to solve the case.

The film also features Annup Sonii and Paoli Dam, and is streaming on Zee5.

Rashmika Mandanna got chance to work with Amitabh Bachchan

Mumbai, April 3 (Telugu Bullet)  Bollywood newcomer Rashmika Mandanna will share screen space with veteran Amitabh Bachchan in the film “Goodbye”. Rashmika says she never imagined she would get a chance to work with the Bollywood icon so soon in her career.

“Goodbye” is Rashmika’s second Bollywood film, after the upcoming “Mission Majnu”.

“I’m truly grateful to be working with Mr Bachchan, and never did I think that I’d be sharing the screen space with sir so early on in my career. I am totally looking forward to the shoot to start off with him and to make as many memories as possible and have fun. I am sure to learn a lot from him,” she says.

The actress adds that she is nervous as well as excited.

“I am truly, nervously excited to start working with sir on the sets of Goodbye. This is an opportunity I wouldn’t miss for the world and I’ll make the most out of it,” she says.

Rashmika has worked in Telugu films “Geetha Govindam” and “Dear Comrade” in the past. In “Mission Majnu”, will has been cast alongside Sidharth Malhotra.

Jay Bhanushali: Hosting shows gives actors chance to be ourselves

Actor Jay Bhanushali is currently seen on TV hosting “Indian Idol” season 12. He says that hosting shows helps his fans get to know him better.

The actor says that a basic structure is given to him in the show and he has a chance to improvise with his nuances.

“The best part of hosting is that we get a chance to build up our name and get a chance to be ourselves. There is a basic script which is given to us but it is up to us to make it more entertaining and more interactive for the audience,” he told IANS.

However, he adds that constantly coming up with something new is a challenge.

“The biggest challenge would be that after so many reality shows, we have to come up with new things every time. I am quite successful in that because people love to see me and they always appreciate my anchoring (skills). So, I am happy and glad that these challenges are there and which are helping me to grow as an anchor,” he says.

‘Wild Dog’ Movie box office First Day Collections

Hyderabad April 3,(Telugu Bullet) The latest movie starring Akkineni Nagarjuna as the hero, Wild Dog, has received a mixed response but it is going to hit the box office. The first day was about Rs 3.5 crore has been collected.  The USA  grossed $ 3,967 there on the first day. When it comes to the pre-release business of this movie, it is reported that 7.7 crore business has been done in both Telugu states. 

Trade sources said that in Karnataka and other states, over Rs 70 lakh and overseas rights were sold for Rs 50 lakh. In total, the film entered the ring with a break-even target of 9 crores. Another Rs 5.5 crore has to be collected to go into the safe zone. Whether Nagarjuna will crack the target, however, is likely to be revealed this weekend. 

Eiza Gonzalez on makeup: Less is more for me

Los Angeles, April 3,(Telugu Bullet) Actress Eiza Gonzalez is a big fan of experimenting with her beauty regimes, and she likes to put on minimal makeup.

“It’s really become less is more for me. Obviously, when you’re younger, you feel excited about the fact that you can wear makeup and start doing adult stuff. I really took advantage of that growing up,” the actress said, according to contactmusic.com.

She added: “And then, now, to me it’s just about feeling more comfortable in my skin and experimenting. I don’t like to always play it safe. I’m getting older and becoming more versatile, more multifaceted when it comes to my look.”

Changing one’s look is one of the “coolest things” one can do as an actress, she said.

“I think that’s one of the coolest things about being an actress, playing with your image, changing your look around, and become different people,” said Eiza.

She added that she likes to try different hairstyles, too.

“It’s the same with hair, I like to play with it. I go short. I go long. I go blonde. I go brunette. I enjoy just becoming different women,” she said.

Raveena Tandon: Highest jump in Covid cases in India, let’s be careful

Actress Raveena Tandon on Friday reacted to the news that India has reported the highest jump in Covid-19 positive cases since October last year. She urged everyone to be careful.

Raveena shared a video on Instagram where she can be seen seated in a flight wearing a mask, face shield, and gloves while spraying sanitizer around her seat. The video was shot in December last year.

Sharing the video, the actress wrote: “My Paranoia, but rightfully so. #throwbackdecember2020 #flying in times of Corona .. #sanitisedworld #saferthansorry please keep wearing your masks. The highest jump in cases reported in India yesterday. Let’s be careful of our own safety and the safety of others. You might even just be a carrier so please be careful around people.”

India has recorded a steady spike in cases over the past three weeks. Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Karnataka, Punjab, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, and Madhya Pradesh are logging a steep rise in daily new cases.

Taapsee Pannu announces summer, shares ‘Shabaash Mithu’ pic

Actress Taapsee Pannu on Friday announced the onset of warmer days with a new Instagram picture from the shoot of her upcoming film “Shabaash Mithu”.

The picture is one of the many she has been posting from her preparation sessions for the film, a biopic on Indian women’s ODI cricket team captain Mithali Dorai Raj.

In the picture, Taapsee can be seen in cricket gear, with her hands on her helmet. “Summer has arrived #ShabaashMithu,” she wrote.

Produced by Viacom 18 Studios, the film has been directed by Rahul Dholakia. It has been penned by Priya Aven.

Meanwhile, the actress has her hands full with multiple projects. She will be seen in the film “Loop Lapeta”, which also stars actor Tahir Raj Bhasin. The film is a Hindi remake of the German hit “Run Lola Run”.

Besides this, Taapsee also has the mystery thriller “Haseen Dilruba”. The film has been directed by Vinyl Mathew and she will share the screen with Vikrant Massey in the film.

Her other upcoming film is “Rashmi Rocket”, which casts her as a long-distance runner.
