Daisy Shah: There is unmatchable pleasure in feeding stray animals

Mumbai, April 1 (Telugu Bullet)  Actress Daisy Shah is an animal lover and often feeds strays. She says that she always carries food with her when she ventures out.

The actor was recently seen feeding the stray dogs and cows in Andheri.

“I often feed the strays I come across, as and when I can. I actually have a box of dog biscuits in my car wherever I go. So, if I stop at a signal or if I am walking from my car to someplace and I see these adorable animals, I always feed them. There is unmatchable pleasure in doing so,” she says.

The actress says that proper segregation of garbage needs to be done in order to make sure that animals don’t consume the wrong things.

“One needs to understand that stray animals require to eat as well, so they try to fish out the food from wherever possible. Many a time it lands up being from the big garbage bins that are around the city, which are provided by the BMC. The government has surely done its bit in keeping our city clean by providing us with these garbage bins, but people are yet unaware of segregating their garbage correctly.”

The actress urges people to divide their garbage properly so that it can be disposed of in an appropriate manner.

“What we can do to save these poor animals is that we should segregate our garbage based on dry, wet, and recyclable. This is important as surely eating anything that is not food from the trash is detrimental to their health,” she says.

Daisy has a pet at home, too. “I do have a pet, my best friend who is an adorable puppy! I had one chihuahua who passed away in January unfortunately. This one is around three-months-old right now and it’s literally like taking care of a baby.

On the days that I am home, I make it a point to walk, clean, and feed him but on the days that I am working, I video call him a couple of times a day so that I can have my daily dose of him! I also have a maid who is simply amazing at taking care of him so it’s surely a boon. I can’t imagine my life without my pets,” she says.

South stars try music video route to pan-India limelight

New Delhi, April 1 (IANS) Telugu star Rashmika Mandana will make her Hindi debut with “Mission Majnu”, but before that she surprised fans when she entered the Hindi showbiz scene with an appearance in the music video of Badshah and Yuvan Shankar Raja’s latest hit, “Top Tucker”.

Telugu actor Allu Sirish, too, has taken the Hindi music video route to enter pan-Indian mindspace. He appears in the new Darshan Raval track “Vilayati sharaab”.

Are music videos the new big-ticket for regional actors aspiring to woo Hindi-speaking markets? Trade analyst Atul Mohan believes that for regional actors, doing Hindi music videos is part of their “pan-India goal”.

“Times are changing. With the success of ‘Baahubali’, ‘KGF’ and dubbed films, the dynamics of the market has changed. Now, actors like Prabhas and Vijay Deverakonda are promoted as pan-India stars. Everyone wants to go pan-India, to increase popularity. Music video seems to be the new favourite. It is one of the steps to achieving the pan-India goal and increase the face value,” he says

Telugu actor Allu Sirish insists “Vilayati sharaab” was not a planned step. “I don’t know how did this land in my lap. This is a stroke of luck or something. Even while doing the video I didnt think how many views I would get. I just enjoyed it so much. I wish I could just again shoot the video because it was so much fun,” he says.

Singer and music composer Nakul Abhyankar, has composed music for Tamil, Telugu and Kannada films and is known for his track “Thumbi Thullal” (Cobra), “Azhage” (Tamil film ‘Action’) among others. In his opinion, the collaborative effort of bringing artistes of the North and the South always reaps good results.

“Movie releases have reduced because of Covid and hard truth of any film industry is that if you are out of sight, you are out of mind. What Badshah did with Top Tucker was great. It was good to see the North and the South come together with Badshah on one side and Yuvan (Shankar Raja) and Rashmika on other side,” he says.

He adds: “It’s a good thing to see big names being involved in the independent music scene. It’s a good thing but I would also love to see musicians come up along with actors and make a bigger impact.”

Sonakshi Sinha: My biggest critic has to be my mom

Mumbai, April 1 (Telugu Bullet)  Actress Sonakshi Sinha says her mother Poonam Sinha is honest with her when it comes to feedback for her films. Sonakshi adds that her mother has always been genuine while discussing her performances.

“My biggest critic has to be my mom and she has always been bang-on. Her inputs always help me get better and they matter a lot to me. She is extremely honest when she praises or criticises me,” she says.

Sonakshi is mostly happy with her performances.

“Most of the time, I’m happy with my work but sometimes I do feel I could have done something better or differently. But that’s just human, I guess. What’s important is that I always want to do something better than what I did last,” she says.

Sonakshi says that when she is approached for a film, she just sees if it “clicks” with her.

“I believe in my instincts. There have been times where I have heard a narration or read a script and gotten on board or sometimes it is just the plot or premise. For me, it just needs to click,” she says.

The actress also adds that, for her, box office figures have never mattered.

“Honestly, even when I was a part of the biggest blockbusters they didn’t matter to me. My priority is to enjoy my work, do what I want to do, and just make my family proud. Everything else is secondary,” she says.

Rani Mukerji: Fans helped me survive prejudices a married actress with baby faces

Actress Rani Mukerji is grateful to her fans for not writing her off after she got married and had a baby, helping her evade the general perception that careers of married actresses slow down.

“Without my fans, I would not have been able to survive, especially with the kind of prejudices a married actress with a baby has to go through. The fact that they have supported me throughout is nothing short of a miracle and that’s why I’m still working and doing relevant work,” she claims.

The actress completes 25 years in the film industry this year.

“When I think of the number of years, it seems like a very long time but honestly for me it just seems like my journey has never stopped. It’s just gone on and on since the day I was 16 and I started working. Now, 25 years feels the same because the struggle is yet on, and the learning is still on as an actor. There is a lot that I have to accomplish, there is a lot that I have to learn,” she says.

She adds that she has discovered herself and her craft over the years.

“For an actor, learning never stops and the more experience I have with different directors, different technicians, different co-stars, I get to learn a lot. It still feels nice and I am raring to go because with each film, I kind of discover a new me and I love telling stories — important stories, powerful women stories,” she says.

The actress will next be seen in “Bunty Aur Babli 2” and “Mrs. Chatterjee Vs Norway”.
