Nagarjuna Akkineni, often referred to as the “King of Tollywood,” is a prominent and versatile actor in the Indian film industry. Born on August 29, 1959, in Chennai, India, he hails from a prestigious film family. His father, Akkineni Nageswara Rao, was a legendary actor and filmmaker, and his mother, Annapurna Akkineni, belonged to the prominent Akkineni family.
Nagarjuna made his acting debut at the young age of eight with a brief role in the film “Sudigundalu,” directed by his father. However, he formally entered the film industry as a lead actor with the film “Vikram” in 1986. The movie was a commercial success, marking the beginning of Nagarjuna’s illustrious career in the Telugu film industry.
