Nandamuri Balakrishna’s NBK 111 is reportedly eyeing a December release, with the makers considering December 24, 2026 as the potential theatrical date. The film, directed by Gopichand Malineni, is currently progressing with its production plans despite Balakrishna’s recent injury during the shoot.

Balakrishna is expected to return to the sets in September 2026, and the team is keen to resume filming without further delays. If the December 24 date is finalized, the film will stay away from the crowded Sankranthi 2027 season and instead target the Christmas holiday period.

The proposed release window, however, is far from easy. Several high-profile films are also expected to arrive around the same time. Avengers: Doomsday is scheduled for a Telugu release, while Dune: Part Three is also targeting the Christmas season. Shah Rukh Khan’s King is another major film expected to compete during the same period.

With major Hollywood and Bollywood projects potentially arriving alongside it, NBK 111 could face strong competition for screens and audience attention across multiple markets. The makers will therefore have to carefully evaluate the release strategy before locking the date.

Interestingly, December has previously worked well for Balakrishna, with films such as Akhanda and Akhanda 2 arriving during the month. The team may be looking to recreate that favourable release window with his latest action entertainer.

Kajal Aggarwal is paired opposite Balakrishna, while Venkata Satish Kilaru is producing the film under the Vriddhi Cinemas banner. S. Thaman is composing the music.

The teaser has already generated considerable interest, and fans are eagerly waiting to see Balakrishna in another high-energy action avatar. With December 24 currently being discussed as the target date, the film’s final release announcement is awaited.
