When filmmaker Rathinam Krishna selected Neha Shetty as the lead actress for “Rules Ranjan,” it was a decision that didn’t surprise many, given her recent success in “DJ Tillu.” However, the director emphasizes that he made this choice without having watched “DJ Tillu.” He believed she naturally fit the role of an urban girl.
During their initial meeting, the Actress encouraged Krishna to watch “DJ Tillu,” but he preferred not to do so, wanting to avoid any influence from her previous performance. “Rules Ranjan” revolves around the journey of an average student, played by Kiran Abbavaram, who achieves success in life. Neha, portraying a dream girl character, also showcased her dancing talents in the film’s dance numbers.
Interestingly, Actor herself provided the voiceover for the film. Initially, they conversed in English as Krishna was unaware of her proficiency in Telugu. However, during post-production, he discovered her strong command of Telugu, leading to the decision to dub her voice in the film.
