OTT Deal Locked: Ram Pothineni’s Andhra King Taluka to Stream on Netflix Post-Theatrical Run
The much-anticipated action entertainer Andhra King Taluka, starring Ram Pothineni, is racing toward completion. Directed by Mahesh Babu P. of Miss Shetty Mr. Polishetty fame, the film is currently in its final leg of shooting, with key scenes featuring Ram and the female lead Bhagyashri Borse being shot in Hyderabad.
In a major development, the makers have closed a significant post-theatrical streaming deal. Netflix has acquired the OTT rights for Andhra King Taluka, ensuring a grand digital release after its theatrical run. This comes as a positive move, especially at a time when the OTT market has become increasingly challenging for mid-to-big-budget Telugu films.
Meanwhile, the production team is gearing up to kick-start musical promotions. The first single from the film will be released this Friday, building buzz ahead of the movie’s release.
Backed by Mythri Movie Makers, the film also features Kannada star Upendra in a pivotal role. With music by the energetic Vivek–Mervin duo, the film is expected to explore the deep-rooted fan culture in Andhra Pradesh, promising a mass entertainer with emotional depth.
