Newton Movie nominated in Oscar while Bahubali and Dangal lost: ‘Newton’ movie selected in Oscar nominations from India. Even Bahubali 2 which was internationally acclaim did not get into the Oscar nominations. 92 movies will compete from different countries for Oscar. That means ‘Newton’ movie should compete with 91 movies to get Oscar award. The Cambodia film, ‘First They Killed My Father’ movie which is starting by the famous Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie. Even many other famous actors movies through out the world are competing for Oscar award.
For the first time Haiti, Honduras, Lao People’s Democratic Republic, Mozambique, Senegal and Syria countries are participating in Oscar awards. The ‘Newton’ movie team are believing to give the tough competition to the Hollywood movies. The ‘Newton’ movie which is based on elections, starring Raj Kumar Rao directed by Amith V Masurkar. 14 members Oscar jury committee nominated ‘Newton’ movie for 2018 Oscar entry by neglecting ‘Bahubali 2’, ‘Dangal ‘movies. Oscar nomination will announce on January 23, 2018, by the Oscar Committee and awards ceremony on March 4.
