Hyderabad: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has registered its first case connected with Human Trafficking, under Prevention of Immoral Traffic Act 1986, on September 17. Three accused identified as Mohammed Yousuf Khan, Bithi Begum, wife of Mohammed Yousuf Khan, and Sojib, a native of West Bengal but currently staying in Hyderabad, were arrested on April 21, 2019 by Chatrinaka Police Station under section 370 A (2) of IPC.
The accused were allegedly involved in illegal trafficking of Bangladeshi women to Hyderabad and their sexual exploitation. On August 9, to Central Crime Station. According to Chatrinaka Police, the two persons Yousuf Ali Khan and Bithi Begum were running a prostitution racket with illegally trafficked Bangladeshi women in premises near Kandikal gate, Baji Nagar, Uppuguda. police had searched the premises on April 21, 2019 and arrested three accused persons and rescued five such victims from the premises. Later, the NIA took up the case for detailed investigation by keeping the gravity of the offence and its inter-State and cross border connections.
