Nifty and Sensex rise to fresh records.
On Wednesday, Nifty and Sensex reached new record highs. The Nifty index of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) touched 18,982.05 points, while the Sensex index of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) reached 63,984.84 points.
The Nifty began the day at 18,908.15 points and reached a high of 18,982.05 points, with a low of 18,861.35 points.
Trideep Bhattacharya, the CIO-Equities at Edelweiss Mutual Fund, commented on the Nifty’s all-time high. He attributed it to two factors: the resilience of Indian companies’ earnings based on strong bottom-up drivers in a challenging global macro environment, and the recent positive progress of monsoons across India.
Similarly, the Sensex opened at 63,701.78 points and climbed to a high of 63,984.84 points.
