Visit to Chennai by Nitish-Tejashwi to persuade Stalin
Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav will be traveling to Chennai in an effort to persuade Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin to attend the large-scale Opposition meeting scheduled to take place in Patna on Friday.
The two leaders will also participate in an event organized to honor the late Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi. Initially, Stalin had expressed some reluctance to attend the meeting. Nitish Kumar has emphasized the importance of the presence of top leaders from all opposition parties at the event, stating that it would hold no value without their attendance.
Other prominent leaders expected to be present at the meeting include Rahul Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge, Arvind Kejriwal, Mamata Banerjee, Hemant Soren, Akhilesh Yadav, Sharad Pawar, Uddhav Thackeray, Farooq Abdullah, Mehbooba Mufti, Sitaram Yechury, and D. Raja. Nitish Kumar and Tejashwi Yadav will return to Bihar on Wednesday.
