OpenAI releases the ChatGPT Enterprise plan for companies.
OpenAI, a company owned by Microsoft, has introduced a business-oriented version of its AI-driven chatbot application called ChatGPT Enterprise. This new edition offers enhanced security and privacy features suitable for enterprises, unlimited access to the higher-speed GPT-4 model, longer context windows for handling extended inputs, advanced data analysis capabilities, customization options, and more.
OpenAI expressed its belief that AI can assist and enhance various aspects of workplace activities, fostering creativity and productivity among teams. They see ChatGPT Enterprise as a significant step toward an AI assistant tailored for professional use. It’s designed to accommodate diverse tasks, be adaptable to an organization’s specific needs, and prioritize the protection of company data.
The company highlighted that ChatGPT Enterprise complies with SOC 2 standards, ensuring robust security. All conversations are encrypted during transmission and when stored. Additionally, OpenAI has introduced a new administrative console to enable customers to easily manage team members, incorporating features like domain verification, single sign-on (SSO), and usage insights, making it suitable for large-scale deployment within enterprises.
The new admin console offers tools for overseeing how ChatGPT is used within an organization, including SSO, domain verification, and a dashboard with usage metrics. ChatGPT Enterprise also provides unrestricted access to Advanced Data Analysis, previously known as Code Interpreter, allowing ChatGPT to analyze data, generate charts, solve mathematical problems, and perform other tasks, including handling uploaded files.
OpenAI has removed usage limitations for ChatGPT Enterprise, and it operates at up to twice the speed of previous versions. It also incorporates a context, enabling users to process inputs or files that are four times longer. The company plans to introduce additional features as they become available.
