With only hours left for the theatrical debut of Peddi, advance bookings are yet to open across India’s major multiplex chains. Shows are currently unavailable at PVR INOX and Cinépolis, triggering visible disappointment among fans of Ram Charan. These national chains account for a significant share of box office collections in metro and Tier 1 markets, making the delay particularly concerning.
Industry buzz suggests the hold-up stems from differences between the film’s team and the multiplex operators regarding advance payment terms. Because of this unresolved issue, ticket sales have been temporarily paused. Talks are reportedly ongoing, and there is optimism that a settlement will be reached soon, allowing bookings to go live.
The film is produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru under the Vriddhi Cinemas banner and directed by Buchi Babu Sana. The project is presented by Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings, with music composed by A. R. Rahman.
For now, all eyes are on the negotiations, with fans hoping the curtains rise on schedule and screens light up nationwide.
