PM Highlights Significance of India’s Development in the Upcoming 20 Years:

Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his optimism regarding India’s future as an economic powerhouse and reiterated his vision of positioning India as the world’s growth engine during an event of the ‘Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit’ in Ahmedabad.

Modi stated that when the ‘Vibrant Gujarat’ initiative was initiated, its primary goal was to transform the state into the driving force behind India’s progress. He underscored the realization of this vision, highlighting that India is now the fastest-growing global economy, a recognition acknowledged by international agencies and experts.

Addressing industrialists, the Prime Minister encouraged them to focus on sectors capable of generating fresh opportunities for India’s growth. He advocated for discussions on strengthening the startup ecosystem, agri-tech, food processing, and agriculture.

Modi recalled how ‘Vibrant Gujarat’ commenced during a period when the previous central government showed little interest in the state’s industrial advancement. He emphasized that these events have evolved into institutions, inspiring other states to organize their own investment summits.

The Prime Minister emphasized the significance of the next two decades for India’s development and self-sufficiency. He urged the nation to formulate a roadmap for achieving developed nation status by 2047, coinciding with India’s centenary of independence.

During his visit, Modi inaugurated an exhibition at Science City commemorating the 20th anniversary of the Vibrant Gujarat Summit. He explored various attractions at Science City, including an aquarium, a robotics gallery, and a nature park.

In addition, Modi launched several development projects worth over Rs 5,000 crore in Bodeli, a tribal-dominated town in Gujarat’s Chhotaudepur district. He underscored the government’s commitment to providing housing for the underprivileged, with a focus on preserving their dignity.

At a separate event in Vadodara, organized by the ruling BJP to express gratitude for the passage of the women’s reservation bill in Parliament, Modi accused opposition parties of obstructing the bill for three decades and attempting to divide women along caste and religious lines after its successful passage.
