Prime Minister Narendra Modi is in Himachal Pradesh on Wednesday for the swearing-in ceremony of Jairam Thakur as Chief Minister. In the recently concluded Himachal Pradesh Assembly Polls, BJP emerged victoriously.
Modi took the Shimla visit as an opportunity to relish Coffee at the Indian Coffee House. He recalled the days when he used to visit for party work to Himachal Pradesh. He shared that this was the place where he used to visit frequently for a cup of Coffee. He says “The coffee tastes as good as it did two decades ago” he opined after relishing it.
If we speak about the by-polls, BJP won 44 out of 68 seats in Himachal Pradesh Assembly in the recently finished polls. While Congress settled to 21 seats due to anti-incumbency, CPI won one seat and Independents bagged two seats.
Many locals thronged the place to just have a glimpse of the Prime Minister. Some locals stood in a line with their mobile to take photos of Prime Minister. Keeping aside the security issues, the Prime Minister enjoyed his cup of coffee in between the people. In his visit to Andhra Pradesh last year, he was floored by Araku Coffee at a maritime exhibition in Vishakhapatnam.
