After the gleeful tweet by director Ali Abbaz Zafar on Twitter, reports of Priyanka Chopra’s engagement with Nick Jonas started doing the rounds. The director confirmed through his tweet Priyanka Chopra’s exit from the Salman Khan’s starrer Bharat, throwing a hint at her engagement with Nick Jonas. According to his post, she was no longer going to be a part of the movie for “a very very special reason” which she informed them in the “Nick of time”.
Not long ago, People’s Magazine also reported about the former Miss India and the Jealous Singer getting engaged on her 36th birthday. If sources were to be believed, Nick’s close relatives also confirmed the news and said they had never seen him so happy.Although there are countless posts, pictures, and videos that confirm the engagement rumours, the Quantico actress feels she does not need to explain to anyone about her relationship with the former Jonas Brothers band member. At an event oragnised by FICCI Ladies Organisation and Yes Bank together, in New Delhi, Priyanka was inevitably asked about her rumoured engagement with the 25-year-old American singer which has been garnering a lot of attention.
Responding to the questions, PeeCee said that she may be a star but she wants to keep some aspects of her life away from the media glare: “My entire life, especially my personal life. Everything about me is not for public consumption. 90 per cent of my life is for public consumption, but 10 per cent of it is for me. I am a girl and I have the right to keep that to myself. My family, friendship, my relationships are things I don’t think I need to defend or explain it to anyone,” Priyanka was quoted as saying by news agency IANS. “Sometimes I laugh, sometimes I get annoyed. But mostly, I tell my publicists ‘Let it be, today’s news is tomorrow’s trash’,” added the desi girl.
Priyanka Chopra, 36 years old, was criticized for dating Nick Jonas, who is soon to turn 26 this September. She did not care much to respond to such criticisms and said, “I’m not running for office, so I don’t owe anyone an explanation.”The couple started dating since last year when they walked down the red carpet together at the Met Gala, 2017. They have been dating for quite some time. The duo is seen clicking pictures together, attending parties and weddings, going out on dinner dates, and foreign trips including each other’s families. PeeCee was also spotted attending her man’s concert last night in Singapore.
