Puri Jagannadh is undoubtedly one of the top directors in the past. But in recent times, his films hardly managed to draw crowds even for the first three days. Right from his storytelling, to his dialogues, everything has gone monologue. Given his ‘relationships’ with the film fraternity, the director has been facing a lot of problem in his personal life, thereby affecting his work life.
Despite many backlogs, the director is coming up with the movie ‘Mehbooba’. Though the trailer has raised expectations for the film, it also reminds people of Puri’s past. He is introducing his son Akash Puri through this film. The latest buzz in the Tinsel town is that Puri Jagannadh approached star producer Dil Raju to release the film.
‘Puri approached Dil Raju and asked him to buy the film. He took a peck above the film’s budget. Given Dil Raju’s knack in releasing movies and the huge number of theatres that would be available, Puri has come up with this proposal. It will be interesting to see how far Dil Raju will fare with this ‘experimental’ film’, said a close source, which is aware of the matter. Let us hope that, Akash Puri makes a successful debut, and Puri Jagannadh comes back to form with ‘Mehbooba’.
