Rahul Gandhi Speech Inspires Goa Congress President

In the Congress Plenary Meeting that was recently conducted, Rahul Gandhi asked the senior wigs of the party to step down from key party positions across various states. Following the orders of the new party President, many senior Congress leaders are resigning for their posts.
Uttar Pradesh Congress Chief Raj Dabbar announced that he is resigning from his post. Raj Babbar’s resignation comes just the very next day Goa Congress President Santharam Nayak announced his resignation.
Speaking to the media, Santharam Nayak said, ‘on the instructions of Rahul Gandhi Ji, I am resigning for Goa Congress President Post’, last evening. Rumors surfaced that, even Gujarat Congress Party Chief Bharat Singh Solanki is likely to follow the same path as Raj Babbar in the coming few days.
Sources close to UP Congress party confirmed that, though Raj Dabbar has resigned for the party post, his resignation is yet to be accepted by the High Command. He is expected to continue as UP Congress Party Chief until someone else is nominated.
Though this is a welcome move, respecting the new Party President Rahul Gandhi’s instructions, this is worrying the Congress party. With Rajya Sabha elections ahead in three days, this is likely to have an impact on the Congress.
